Denial and CorrectionOne writing skill for a piece of argumentation is to begin with a statement, then deny and correct it.

Parents often think that they know their children well enough to decide what kind of job suits them. They are afraid that their children are too young to decide their future on their own. However, children would argue that they should be left free to make their own choices. They would prefer to cultivate a spirit of independence and self-reliance. They have their own interests different from their parents’. They prefer jobs which are challenging and require independent, creative thinking or bring greater economic benefits. They would not think much about whether the job is stable or not. They would not accept anything imposed on them by the older generation. Besides, as young adults, they are mature enough to make their own careerchoices.
