YOUTH MINISTRY NEWS

SILENT AUCTION AND BAKE SALE FUNDRAISER

Any and All Bakers Welcome! Boston Mission Trip Team 2019 is asking for your help and support of their only fundraiser–a bake sale and silent auction after each Mass on Saturday, February 2nd and Sunday, February 3rd. Please bring “WHOLE” items for sale–a plate of cookies, a whole bread or pie, a batch of brownies, a stuffed bread, etc. Deliver baked goods anytime Saturday, February 2 to the kitchen, and labeled “Boston Mission Trip”. Please wrap your baked goods – presentation helps sell–and indicate if they contain nuts or no nuts.

STEUBENVILLE EAST YOUTH CONFERENCE PARENT/YOUTH MEETING An informational and registration meeting is scheduled for Sunday, February 10th at noon, immediately following the 11:00 a.m. Mass for all teens–current 8th graders through high school. Our Youth Ministry will be traveling to this Conference Friday, July 12th–Sunday, July 14th, along with 3000 Catholic teens for this fun, faith-filled and inspiring weekend of music, worship and speakers focused on topics for teens. For more information, please contact Mrs. Hanshaw or our Group Leader and area coordinator, Mr. Larry Laureno at 860-716-3100 or at [email protected].

SENIOR HIGH YOUTH MINISTRY Friday, February 15th, GAME NIGHT, 6:00–7:30 p.m. Russell Hall. Join us for some unique and challenging games this evening, some I’m sure you have never seen. Parishioner Mr. Michael Coutinho has an incredible selection of games and is willing to share! Pizza and hot cocoa will be served–bring a friend too!

JUNIOR HIGH YOUTH MINISTRY Monday, February 4th-MOVIE NIGHT, 7:00–9:00 p.m. (Note ending time change)–Russell Hall. Come in your warm pajamas (optional), bring a pillow, and enjoy some pizza and popcorn for a relaxing evening out. Bring a friend too! Bakers needed! The Boston Mission Trip Team 2019 is asking for your help and support of their only fundraiser. Please see the details noted above.

Have Car-Will Feed Ministry It's time again to ask for a group of parishioners to help with our efforts to help our neighbors in need through the Simsbury Food Pantry at Eno Hall. The food pantry needs volunteers to take the food donations and transport them to the basement of Eno Hall. This ministry only takes a half hour, sometimes less and the ability to pick up bags and fill the inside of a car and drive to Eno Hall. This delivery is every four weeks and the next date is Tuesday February 12th. If you are interested in this important and fulfilling ministry, please contact the church office. Thank you for your willingness to help our parish help our neighbors!

Rel Ed Happenings! The Grade Three children are learning the Sacraments of the Catholic Church. Each child received a gift bag containing these items: A Band Aide, a bell, a Kiss, a 'Nilla Wafer, a silk flower, a white feather, a sea shell. Can YOU identify the object with the Sacrament? If not, ask a third grader!
