Other new officers are Morton R. Brenner, White Plains, NY, president-elect; Gerald M. Drew, New York City, treasurer; and Simon Solovey, New York City, secretary. A one-day postgraduate course was conducted in May with Robert Gottsegen of the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery as the course leader. Alvin Goodman (second Jrom left), Winston-Salem, was installed as president at the winter meeting of the Tar Heel Endodontic Association. The Greater London (England) Study Club, in existence about three years, meets five times annually. Its most recent meeting featured a talk on post reinforcement of root canal treated teeth by John McCormack. Officers of the club are John Reuter, president; Mark Brose, treas- urer; and Clive Invest, secretary. At the spring meeting of the Georgia Association of Endodontists held in Madison May 11, Joel Adler, Atlanta oral surgeon, discussed "Surgi- cal approach to endodontics: a ra- tionale for root-end amalgams." Plans were formulated for a week- end retreat in October at Big Canoe in the north Georgia mountains. Recently elected officers of the GAE are James W. Riggans, Atlanta, president; R. Jerome Barnett, Jr., At- lanta, vice-president; and Charles E. Gregory, Atlanta, secretary. As featured speaker, Dr. Goodman discussed the diagnosis and treatment of difficult endodontic cases. He de- scribed several patients who had been treated previously but had large lesions that were increasing in size. By using the warm gutta-percha technique, he was able to fill lateral canals.
