Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley come together again to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. Sun Records, now donned with a Christmas tree, garland, and mistletoe, rings with the sounds of the season and chart toppers that made these four famous. Follow along with the gang’s usual antics as we journey through a story of Christmas past, present, and future. It’s a jam packed evening of holidays hits and classic characters you won’t want to miss!

2020 HOLIDAY PRODUCTION! Nov. 27 - Dec. 12 Preston H. Thomas Theatre in the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse

Based on the novel by E.L. Doctorow, this musical depicts an African-American family, a Jewish immigrant family, and a wealthy white suburban family in turn-of-the-century America, who collide in pursuit of the American Dream. Nominated for 13 Tony Awards including “Best Musical,” and winning for “Best Original Score” and “Best Book of a Musical,” Ragtime is an incredible theatrical experience and a tribute to the power of freedom, hope and inspiration.

Aug. 25 - Sept. 15Preston H. Thomas Theatre in the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse

42nd Street is the musical comedy that celebrates Broadway and the magic of show business! Featuring 14 show stopping production numbers including, “We’re In The Money,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” “42nd Street,” “Quarter to Nine,” 50 tapping feet and over 200 jaw dropping costumes, this show delivers on every level. Aspiring chorus girl Peggy Sawyer comes to the big city from Allentown PA, and soon lands her first big job in the ensemble of a glitzy new Broadway show. But when its star is injured, will Peggy be able to step in and save the show? An exhilarating celebration of the American song and dance musical.

June 2 - 23 Preston H. Thomas Theatre in the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse

When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won’t be a found - a convent. Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and an uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood. A hilarious story with raise the roof vocals!

June 30 - July 21 Preston H. Thomas Theatre in the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse

Be the first to witness the birth of the next mega hit! The PiTCH provides a forum for musicals in their earliest stages of development. Each musical creation team is provided with a week-long residency at the Rev. At the end of each week, the creative team ‘pitches’ their material to audiences with a presentation lasting approximately an hour long. Afterward, the audience and creative team engage in active dialogue about the piece and the process.

“Tonight I gotta cut loose…Footloose!” The movie was a global phenomenon and the musical is just as good! With its Oscar-nominated score, Footloose celebrates the exhilaration of youth, the strength of community and the power of forgiveness. Kick off your sunday shoes and get ready to dance in the aisles! A family feel good show for everyone!

July 28 - Aug. 18Preston H. Thomas Theatre in the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse

John Denver emerged onto the ‘60s folk scene, climbed to ’70s superstardom and enjoyed a blazing career throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s. This nostalgic musical tribute features Denver’s greatest hits such as “Country Roads,” “Rocky Mountain High,” “Annie’s Song,” “Leavin’ On A Jet Plane” and many more. Denver was a humanitarian, activist and even poet laureate. Almost Heaven will most definitely put some sunshine on your shoulders.
