SIMPLE AND PRACTICAL
CHARGING METHODS
There are two options for recharging the battery: Using the
included Type 2 cable, the battery can be charged in under
2 hours using a 7kW home or public charging point. Using
the domestic charging cable accessory, the battery can be
charged in around 6 hours from a 3-pin domestic socket at
10A or 2.3kW. We only recommend this for occasional use
and that the electricity source has been professionally tested
before charging.
You can programme charging for a particular time to take
advantage of off-peak rates using the touch screen in
the passenger compartment or on your smartphone via
the MyCitroën app (free of charge subscription to e-Remote
Control services required). You can also use the app to
preheat the interior of the car at any time, remotely lock
or unlock the passenger compartment and also access
essential information such as the capacity of the battery,
the fuel level, and even the location of your vehicle.
The charging cables are stored in a dedicated space
under the boot floor, easily accessible via the hinged cover.

One of the many ways in which Citroën C5 Aircross SUV Hybrid stands out is how simple it is to charge. There are two battery charging methods, plus a complete ecosystem of practical support services. Using a 32A wall box with the standard 6.6kW onboard charger and standard charging cable, the battery can be fully charged in under 2 hours. With an optional charging cable the car can also be charged in around six hours from a three-pin domestic socket*. The charging cable is stored in a dedicated space under the boot floor, with the charging socket on the car found under a flap at the rear left of the car. The on-car socket includes an LED which shows the progress of the charge. Once charged, the electric motor offers a range of 34 miles (on the combined WLTP cycle)**. Please note that Citroën guarantees the battery of the electric motor for eight years, or 100,000 miles, for 70% of the initial capacity. Citroën has partnered with Pod Point to provide C5 Aircross SUV customers a straightforward and trustworthy way to order and install a wall box charging point at home. Your dealer will be able to refer you to Pod Point who can then assist you with the whole process from survey to installation. In addition, C5 Aircross SUV Hybrid is eligible for the government Home Charge Grant, enabling you to receive financial support towards the charging point installation***.

When you have the optional towing equipment fitted, this feature works with the ESP system. If it senses the trailer beginning to sway, it uses the vehicle brakes to maintain stability.
