Rules & Regulations

● Participating chapters must be undergraduate members of the Greek Organizations. ● The performance order will be provided the night of the performance. ● There is no min/max of performers ● Performing organizations must submit a list of performers and stage hands/technicians

with their registration forms ● All performers must be members of the team’s respective organization. If the team has an

appointed person assisting the team, that person is not required to be a member of the team’s respective organization. However, they are not permitted on the dance floor.

Performance

● All music must be emailed to Miriam Ortega at miriamo@historiccapitolhill.com by Friday, July 19th. Additionally, all teams are required to bring back-ups of all music the day of show.

● Groups will have 1-2 minutes to perform each round. There will be 2 rounds. (“Villains” & Superheroes”)

● Please keep in mind this is a family-friendly event. The performance must be appropriate for all ages. Groups must refrain from profanity, sexual connotations, or reference to alcohol and/or drug use in their music selections and props.

● Groups that do not follow these guidelines will be subject to penalty and/or disqualification .

● If a team member is found to be grossly unsportsmanlike, their team will be disqualified from the competition.

Run Down:

● Groups will have 1-2 minutes to perform each round. There will be 2 rounds. (“Villains” & “Superheroes”)

● Villains : The 1 st (first) round will consist of incorporating the “villains” theme through music, costumes, props, and/or skits, etc.

● Superheroes: The 2 nd (second) round will consist of incorporating the “superhero” theme through music, costumes, props, and/or skits, etc. Examples: Marvel, DC, Disney, Books, TV Shows, etc.

Scoring:

Possible points for each round: 20pts

Enthusiasm (1-4): Vocal Clarity (1-4 ): Any calls or word spoken should be heard clearly for the audience. Creativity & Appearance (1-4): Was thought put into the moves, props, skits, costumes, etc.? Complexity (1-4): Can the moves be considered basic or is there a level of difficulty? Unity (1-4): How well does the group move together as a unit?

* Each Score Sheet for each round will have an explanation portion where the judges must use a minimum of 3 words to explain their scoring. Prizes: Highest total score for both rounds.

● 1st place $125 ● 2nd place $75

Fiesta Friday is a community event hosted by the Historic Capitol Hill District. The Back to

School Bash theme welcomes families to a safe and fun environment for the summer. We want

students to be motivated to obtain a higher education and for parents to see the bond of

sisterhood/brotherhood that a Greek organizations can build for their son/daughter in college as

well as their community contributions.
