MAMI 2015 1 Summary Report on the 1 st International Conference on Man And Machine Interfacing MAMI 2015 The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering of C. V. Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar organized the first International Conference on Man And Machine Interfacing (MAMI 2015) from 17 th – 19 th December 2015, which was technically co- sponsored by IEEE Kolkata Section. The three day conference served as a forum for the practicing Engineers, researchers, Academic personnel, representatives from Industries and Scientists to brain storm for the benefit of mankind on the issues technically feasible and economically viable solution. The core purpose of the conference was to cover the whole spectrum of theory and practice of man- machine interfacing, focusing on intelligent communication system, evolving hardware designing, automatic knowledge acquisition & processing employed in decision support systems, constantly evolving computational techniques, specialized user interfaces accessible also for disabled, and artificial intelligence methods applied in such areas as computer vision or biosciences. We are pleased to report that more than 112 papers were received for review at MAMI2015, 56 papers were accepted by the reviewers for presentation (which is 50%) and 46 authors presented their papers. There were 8 exciting technical sessions on the emerging field of Interface Systems of Man and Machines in three tracks, namely, Systems Science and Engineering, Human Machine Systems and Cybernetics, in which prominent researchers discussed discoveries and trends in human and machine Interfacing Systems.
