This includes the new 0.1 micron rated Supor media for removal of mycoplasma. Prosep Filter Systems was formed in 1984, and is a specialist suppller of industrial filtration equipment. The addition of the Gelman Sciences process filtration products should serve to enhance its existing range of products. Contracts for fuel cell research awarded ELSEVIER ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY In July the US Department of Energy awarded nearly US$29 million worth of contracts to Ford Motor Co, and Chrysler Corp's Pentastar Engineering subsidiary to develop fuel cell technology, reports the Detroit Free Press, 13 July 1994. Ford and Pentastax's work will be on proton-exchange-membrane ceils fuelled directly by hydrogen. Fuel ceils combine hydrogen and oxygen to produce pollution-free electricity with water as a harmless by-product, The contracts aim to advance work on the pollution-free technology key to the 80-miles-per-gallon 'Super Car' project in the USA.
