Improvement:
∙In the report header a high and/or low alarm threshold will be shown if sent from the device
∙If a parameter alarm threshold changes, the report will indicate the new parameter alarm thresholds with a report header
∙When there is a report entry for an alarm the parameter value and time stamp correlates with the alarm
Benefit:Report is easier to understand

ALARM OCCURRENCE PARETO CHARTNew report helps identify common alarms by device or area of care
Update: This report shows the alarms that most frequently occur.
Benefit: Thiscanbeafirststepforclinicians to understand what alarms are most common on a single device or in an area of care. The information can be used to inform the “Alarm Threshold Analysis” report. Dig deeper into aspecificalarmandseehowachange in alarm settings could affectoverallalarmoccurrence.
Note: This report is new for v2.6 customers; not new for v2.5 or earlier.

COMPREHENSIVE OXIMETRY AND CAPNOGRAPHY REPORTUpdates existing report
Update: This is an improved version of the Comprehensive Oximetry Report. It now includes capnography data as well as graphs of important parameters.
Benefit: The report provides information on the overallrespiratoryhealthofaspecificpatientduringauser-specifiedtimeframe.
Note: This report is new for v2.5 customers or earlier; it’s improved for v2.6 customers.

AUTOMATIC PATIENT DISCHARGE FEATURENew feature improves Vital Sync™platformworkflow
WORKFLOW
Update: Provides the ability to automatically discharge a patient who has no associated devices after a designated period of time (determined by hospital). The auto discharge feature default is setto“off.”TheMedtronicprofessionalservices team will need to activate the auto discharge feature.
Benefit: Activating the auto discharge feature can reduce “device missing from network” messages and facilitate improvedworkflow.

WORKFLOW
Update: This update enables the Vital Sync™ platform to automatically link a CDS app to a patient by creating specific,customer-definedrules.
Benefit: Improvesworkflowandcomplianceby reducing the number of steps required to monitor patients in accordance with hospital protocols.
11
DEVICE DISCONNECT INFORMATIONGreater detail on device disconnection
WORKFLOW
Update: New messages appear in the Tile View and Device Detail screens when a device loses communication. This update provides greater detail on why the device disconnected. For example:
“Device Missing from Network” is likely a network issue
“Communication Interrupted” means that thedeviceislikelyturnedofforLantronixboxisturnedoff
Benefit: Provides more information to save users time by knowing which disconnections need attention.
12
RECONNECT DEVICE TO PATIENT DRAG-AND-DROPFUNCTIONALITYNotifiesclinicalstaffwhenyoucanreconnectdevice
WORKFLOW
Update: If a device loses communication and then regains it, a tile for that device now appears in the Tile View. Users can now reconnect the device in question by dragging and dropping it onto the appropriate patient tile, just as they would do to link a new device.
Benefit: Drag-and-drop functionality is simpler and faster for clinicians.
13
DE-ESCALATING ALARMS FOLLOW CONFIGURED RULESFiltering rules apply to de-escalating alarms
ALARMS
Update: Alarms that decrease in severity now follow any delay rules set up for them.
Benefit: Enables de-escalating alarms to follow the same alarmfilteringrulesthatarein place as it de-escalates.
