The 3M Tegaderm brand transparent dressing features a semipermeable film backing which permits moisture vapor to evaporate from the skin and acts as a barrier to bacteria and water. The new dressing provides a moist healing environment for minor abrasions, super- ficial pressure ulcers and skin graft donor sites.
