New Husqvarna K 970— lots of power in a compact format

Real power. The powerful X-Torq® engine gives higher power while reducing emissions by up to 75 percent and fuel consumption by 20 percent.

The K 970, which replaces the popular K 960, stands out the most from Husqvarna’s many innovations on the power cutter front this year. Its outside is just as

well thought out as its inside. Clearly inspired by its chain saws, Husqvarna has created a modern, streamlined cutter of compact design – and under its cover are all the technical solutions that facilitate the work of cutting and drilling professionals: first and foremost the powerful X-torq® engine, that gives a higher output while reducing emissions by up to 75 percent and fuel consumption by 20 percent.

New Active Air Filtration™ is one of the most efficient air filtration systems on the market, and assures minimum motor wear even in the dustiest environments. In addition, the K 970 has a dust-sealed starter unit for greater reliability and a longer operating life. The machine is easy to start even for new users thanks to its air purge and decompression valve.

Just like the other Husqvarna power cutters, the K 970 has outstanding ergonomics. An innovation is that the rear handle is equipped with a soft insert that gives a better grip for the hand and facilitates when using your hip for support. Another innovation is a tank lid that has been moved onto the right-hand side for easier filling. In addition, the vibration damper has been further improved by adjusting the front spring.

The K 970 is well suited for cutting concrete and stone in reconstruction, renovation and new construction jobs, for cutting curbstones and pavers, pipe cutting in installation work, as well as asphalt and metal cutting.

More facts on the K 970

Flexible. The K 970 is available with a compact, specially designed cutting cart, the KV 970/1260. Ra-pid fasteners make it easy to mount the power cutter on the cart.

Cleaner. DEX, Husqvarna’s newly developed dust extinguisher system, gives cleaner cutting with less water usage and slurry.

More comfort. The rear handle has been equipped with a soft inlay that assures a better grip for the hand and makes it easier to work with the hip as support.
