(required for some standard measures and all custom measures)•

Complete the appropriate worksheet

Pre‐Approval Applications need customer signatures

Step 2:  Receive Notice to Proceed from DCEO•

Reserves funds for 90 days

• Step 3: Install Equipment or Perform Project Work• Maintain documentation

• Step 4: Submit a Final Application within 60 days of Completion•

Click the Final  check box on the application

Submit all required supporting documentation

Final applications need customer signature

RETRO‐COMMISSIONING AND  NEW CONSTRUCTION 

PROGRAMS

Public Sector Incentive Programs  Retro‐commissioning

• Provides public sector funding to identify and  implement low cost tune‐ups and adjustments to 

existing building operating systems

• Delivered through a trained network of retro‐ commissioning (RCx) providers

• DCEO will work with ComEd

to use the same  program administrator and RCx

providers

• Program start January 2009

• First year will fund a few pilot projects

Public Sector Incentive Programs:  New Construction

• Incentive for new construction or remodeling facilities ≥

15,000 sq. ft. that exceed the Illinois Energy Conservation 

Code for Commercial Buildings (or other applicable code) 

• Option of $0.05/kwh for constructing single components 

beyond code

15% Beyond Code (kWh) $0.40 per sq. ft. $100,000

Public Sector Incentive Programs:  New Construction (cont.)

• The project may not be beyond 30% design on  June 1, 2008

• Pre‐

approval application accepted at 100%  design

• Application must include a building energy model  or component calculation and Architect/Engineer  stamped drawings

• Encourage potential applicants to contact DCEO  as early as possible

with the University of Illinois to provide energy audits, analysis and
