What’s HappeningPassing of the Torch – It was the summer of 2004 when we first introduced our fun to read, weekly “good news” publication to the people of St. Augustine and Palm Coast. Sixteen years, 2,392 issues, countless hurricanes and even a worldwide pandemic later, Coffee News continues to entertain our readers and is committed to helping local businesses.
It has been an amazing sixteen years, filled with countless memories and many new friends. I have especially loved reading all the notes that came to us from our readers and the thanks we received from our advertisers for helping their business grow by advertising in the publication.
It’s been a wonderful chapter in my life, but it’s time to start a new journey, so this issue will be my last as publisher. I am passing the Coffee News torch on to new publishers, Vanessa and Randy Cole. They have been publishing five editions of Coffee News in Georgia and Tennessee for 12 years, and bring with them the knowledge, experience and passion to continue the growth and success of our little tan paper.
I will always be proud of how Coffee News has grown to become part of your lives and the joy it has brought to so many of you. As for me, I’ll be retiring to spending more time making my art, working on our new home and exploring new horizons.

Well,perhaps it’s not as easy as that, but French artist David Bayohas figured it out. Using this medium, he creates subtle paint-ings of his subjects, including animals and people. Bayo hastried different ways to make art, and his experimentation ledhim to an ability to understand how ink and water worktogether. The paintings he creates, which are often black andwhite, are distinctive and understated representations of thesubject at hand.Two names: In Tamaulipas, Mexico, a pet cat has two ownerswho did not know about each other until recently.
