She has firsthand knowledge of the frames and has participated in frame selections for artworks in many public collections including the Yale University Art Gallery, the Detroit Institute of Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art where she coordinated the replication of the original frame for Emanuel Leutze's 12' X 21' Washington Crossing the Delaware. Join us for our own private tour as Suzanne focuses on the artistry of the FRAMES rather than the paintings. Frames are often thought of as the margin of art, the border, not the 'main event'. Join us as we go through the American Paintings. We will explore the galleries as well as the frames on view in the Luce Study Center. Learn about the frames on the artworks - how they were made, their history, who designed them, who chose them and why. Spend an autumn afternoon at the James A.

Michener Museum in historic, beautiful

Doylestown, PA. The area boasts many unique

places to grab a bite to eat. Or better yet,

spend the night while you're in town! It really is

quite a culturally abundant destination.

We will begin the day with a private tour of the Michener

Museum. Next, Philadelphia based Conservator and
