Logo Production Process First, there is a brainstorming session where 5 or more logos are feverishly sketch on a page in order to get rough ideas out. It is important to note that this is just a conceptual stage so anything goes. Although it is very helpful to consider key details of the message and ideals that the logo is meant to represent. For example if we are representing a modern tech company the design lague may lean more toward a clean, new age feel; as opposed to a traditional dine-in restaurant that may require a more classical approach, and these designs would both vastly differ from a political campaign witch would appear more bold and patriotic. These standard principles are always a great resource in guiding the logo creation process. But they are simply rule of thumb as the nature of logo design is never set in stone the logos ultimate image (at the end of the day) is entirely subject to the decision of the customer. Phase 1 : Conception Phase 2 : Digitazation Phase 3 : Presentaion Then, after sorting through the more preferred logos of the bunch a total of 3 make it to the digitization phase where they’re then vectorized. This allows them to retain shape and resolution when being resized or applied to different mediums. No good logo is complete without vectorization; This allows the customer to truly own and utilize the intellectual property they’re acquiring. In the digital phase it is imperative that all elements of the design are mathematically sound and visually balanced. Clean, even, centered, these are all terms kept in mind when digital logo creation takes place. All good logo design requires a significant amount of measurement and planed placement (even the wacky looking ones). A logo, when accompanied by a good message, can live for generations and will be see millions of times over so it’s important to create something with pride that is as close to perfection as possible. Finally, the 3 logo options are then presented to the customer in full resolution and color. At this point a minor last minute change can take place such as an alteration in color, size, and/or accent element. After any changes the official logo is selected and the job labeled completed... Although, If the customer is still not satisfied with the changes made to the given designs then work will commence as instructed and does not end unless specified. The work goes on until the customer eventually settles on a design. It is crucial to acknowledge that all work performed during these uncertain times will be subject to an hourly rate. But it is also important to note that situations like this can and have been easily avoided by giving clear instruction at the beginning of the logo process (at conception phase). When the job is done all proper, necessary files pertaining to the logo are delivered upon final payment.
