2010: IRs BEGIN TO DRIVE ECONOMIC GROWTH 20

VISITOR ARRIVALS

Since both IRs opened, Singapore visitor arrivals have

increased 25% (May – August 2010, year on year)

For the first time, Singapore welcomed more than 1 million

visitors in July 2010 (+24% year on year)

REAL GDP GROWTH

Q2 2010: +18.8% year on year

Q2 2010: +24% quarter on quarter, seasonally adjusted

Government nearly doubled its 2010 GDP growth forecast

to 13 to 15% after record expansion in the first half
