Impact of universities is largely determined by individual efforts and involvement in theacademic, interpersonal, and co-extracurricular offerings on a campus. Such activities areassociated with a range of positive educational practices and conditions, including student-faculty contact, active learning, peer interaction, prompt feedback, and inclusive learningenvironments. They underpin the goal of teaching students to be responsible and fulfilledhuman beings with opportunities that develop character, critical thinking, social skills, andtalents. Similarly, Arts education encompassing art forms such as drawing, painting, sculpture, film making, architecture, etc., is part of the cultural heritage of the region and nation.

Fine arts program at BUITEMS, apart from educational and academic learning, also providelearners with non-academic benefits such as promoting self-esteem, motivation, aestheticawareness, cultural exposure, creativity, improved emotional expression, as well as socialharmony and appreciation of diversity. These are the very fibers of the fabric known as ourBalochistan culture and society.

Faculty development is an essential element of institutional effectiveness in higher education.Faculty who engage in professional development experiences benefit also in terms ofincreased vitality, informed pedagogy, teaching innovations, and scholarly teaching. BUITEMSsupport for faculty professional development contributes to the effective use of emergingtechnologies and establishes a firm foundation for the overall development of high-qualityprograms and curricula. Technological developments and characteristics of learners are maincomponents integrated in BUITEMS strategy and direction to find effective ways to motivateand reward faculty participation. We believe that with competing demands for effectiveteaching, scholarly productivity, and service contributions, faculty may be tempted to opt outof professional development training and seminars.

Accreditation is a means to assure and improve higher education quality, assisting institutionsand programs using a set of standards developed by peers. Accreditation signals that thepublic can have confidence in the worth of an institution or program. BUITEMS regularlyensures that its programs meet threshold expectations of quality and that they improve overtime.

ALUMNI SUCCESS STORIES

Lieutenant Muhammad Zahid MatiUllah

Success in life is indubitably an outcome of anever ending series of struggle, hard work, passion, and a long-lasting dedication.

I received my early education from myhometown under the guidance of devoted andcompassionate teachers. I can never forget theconsiderate thoughtfulness of all of myteachers at school and college who inculcatedin me the attributes of punctuality, steadfastness, and discipline in life.

I earned my Bachelors degree inTelecommunication Engineering fromBUITEMS in 2012 with a cumulative GPA of3.32. BUITEMS played a major role in shapingup my personality and providing me with thenecessary skills in my subject, which is due tothe dynamic and energetic leadership providedby the Vice Chancellor BUITEMS AhmedFarooq Bazai and his dedicated team.

Immediately afterwards, as guided and directed by my esteemed teachers and counselors atBUITEMS, I pursued my professional career at HUAWEI, a leading global ICT solution- provider, center in Quetta. After completing the mentioned program successfully, I joined USAID NGOat Quetta and offered my services for the required duration of time. Throughout my academicand professional pursuits, the guidance of highly qualified and experienced teachers of myVarsity continued to provide me with dynamism to move forward with confidence andenthusiasm. After serving at the mentioned NGO, for three months, I decided to join the aviationbranch of Pakistan Navy. Fortunately, I got the credit of being recommended from ISSB in myfirst attempt on 6th of April 2013. Here it is important to mention that by the grace of AlmightyAllah, I was one of the only two candidates who were selected from all over Pakistan.

After receiving my initial training from Pakistan Naval Academy, I spent two years in differentunits, in order to polish my skills in a myriad of concerned areas.  I then went to Lahore forbasic course and completed that duration with distinction. As per requirement, I afterwardsmoved to Rahawali for further trainings so as to gain an advanced expertise in the realm ofaviation.

I am currently serving as a Naval Aviation Pilot at PNS Mehran Karachi and seek to serve mymotherland dedicatedly under the kind and benevolent supervision of my Lord.
