When finished viewing, it is just as easy to move the TV back to its higher or lower position. Dynamic Mounting TV Mounts can move out by as much as 38cm and travel up and down by as much as 100cm. Dynamic Mounting have recently announced a motorised version. LEARS will be providing an iPhone/iPad option to control this mount, in addition to a standard dedicated remote control. LEARS will be offering further value for the ‘down and over’ TV mounts, in the form of custom TV picture frames and Mirror TVs to further hide the TV. The ability to mount the TV in a higher position than normal allows it to be more easily camouflaged as a picture when not in use. When combined with a high-resolution screensaver from a device such as an AppleTV, an excellent hidden TV effect can now be achieved. The Mounts can support TVs up to 50kg in weight and accommodate all the standard VESA configurations as well as LG TVs with trapezoidal hole patterns. The models range in price from £349 to £1,199 with a swivel option and an option for mounting a Soundbar or Centre Speaker, if required. Dealer margins are very attractive, and all the products come with a five year warranty. There is an initial two for the price of one offer to encourage dealers to keep a demonstration unit permanently in their showroom. The mounts boast the thinnest profile and widest swivel range of their kind in the industry, with flexible “set and forget” tilt angles when in the TV viewing position. Paintable covers are included for most models. All the mounts have undergone extensive UL testing, supporting 4x the rated load and completing 6,000 movement life cycle tests – this represents moving the mount up and down, once a day, for over 16 years! MAIOR‘s range of TV ceiling mounts, under the umbrella brand name of ‘Flip’, provides a simple and elegant method of both hiding a TV in the ceiling and then making it magically re-appear, and at any desired angle of viewing. The TV can be lowered by up to 68cm from the ceiling. Typically, no more than a 28cm deep ceiling cavity is required to house the units. There are three types of Flip models in the range, one with the TV always visible (the 900) – great for above a bed, the other with the TV completely hidden in a false panel in the ceiling (900R) and the last which pivots on one side by up to 100 degrees (Flip 85/90/100 – depicting the maximum available flip angle) – the latter being great for gyms, bedrooms or kitchens. The Flip 900 & 900R support screen sizes from 32in to 70in, and both can support TVs up to 28kg in weight. The mechanism’s weight is 35kg.
