Sacrament of Baptism: A Baptism preparation session is required for first time baptisms. Please call 412-531-2135 to make arrangements. Hospitalized Parishioners and Shut-Ins: Please call the Parish office if someone in your family is hospitalized or a shut-in. If a parishioner is not able to attend Mass, the priest and/or Eucharistic Ministers can bring Communion to the home. SHEPHERD'S HEART—There is a box in the entrance of the gym (under the table) at St. Pius X where you can donate individually wrapped food items, toiletries, socks, etc. for Shep-herd's Heart Homeless Shelter. Monetary and grocery store gift cards are greatly appreciated and may be placed in the offertory basket in an envelope marked "Shepherd's Heart". Volunteers will be packing lunches on Sunday, August 23, at 12:00 noon in St. Pius X Church Hall.
OPERATION SAFETY NET LUNCHES—Every second Wednesday of the month, 60 lunches are prepared for the homeless. Consider helping to prepare them at Resurrection’s Quinn Hall at 9:30am. The next date will be Wednesday, Au-gust 12. Donations of crackers, snacks, juice, fruit cups or pud-ding are needed and can be dropped off that day. Also, gift cards for Aldi’s are greatly appreciated to purchase bread, meat and fresh fruit. Aldi’s $50 gift card covers these expenses. —————————————————————

FAMILY HOLY HOUR — Every 3rd Monday of the month from 9:45am-10:45am (note the time has changed). We will be using the chapel at St. Pius X school building. (If we get a larger group we will use the temporary Church in the gym or both.) This is a great opportunity to show your children the power of Jesus in the Eucharist and spend time in prayer together.

MARY’S PRAYER GROUP– We have started a new prayer group that will meet monthly on the 2nd Saturday of the month. Meetings will take place at SPX CHAPEL in the school (note the change of location) at 3:00PM and finished by 3:50PM in time for 4:00PM Mass. Our Lady Of Loreto Final Mass — We are hav-ing a final Mass at the Our Lady of Loreto site on Sunday, August 30, at 10:30AM. The normal 10:30AM Mass at SPX Gym will be cancelled that day. The final Mass will include taking items from the church and moving them to our other St. Teresa of Kolkata locations. Because of the limited space to attend (25% is 88 People) We asked for people to RSVP. We have already received RSVP for the maximum amount that we can hold. If you wish to watch it you can see it on our YouTube channel on our parish website.
STK BOWLING LEAGUE 2020/21 SEASON —We are accepting any interested bowlers (men and women) who want to join our parish bowling league for the up-coming season. The league is friendly competition for varying skill levels. Our season begins August 25, and meets every Tues-day at 7:00pm at Noble Manor Lanes, through April 21. SPX Gym MASS at 10:30AM is cancelled next Sunday, August 30, so that we can cele-brate the Final Mass at Our Lady of Loreto.
RECEIVING COMMUNION– Please remem-ber that we are called to keep a six foot distance from each other when coming up for commun-ion. Also, if you are choosing to receive com-munion on the tongue, we ask that you come up towards the end of the communion line. The chances of passing covid 19 when you are breathing on the hand of those distributing are far greater than distributing in the hand. Please try to respect that others may want to take less risks than you because of their health con-cerns or others in their family that they want to take every precaution to safety as possible.

PARISH ROSARY– We pray as a group of Parishioners on Zoom every day at 6:00PM (except Fridays). Please join us. To receive the link, please con-tact the parish office email at [email protected], and we will email you the link to get in. It is a great way to pray together and see some of your parish friends!
HELP NEEDED– We need helpers who can help to wipe down pews after every mass with our sanitizing solution. We need help both on weekends and weekday Masses. In particular we are short on helpers after the 8:45AM Mass at SCS. If you come to Mass and are able to help afterwards that is great! We want to keep our churches open for daily and weekend Masses and your help makes all the difference! Some churches have not been able to open yet. We are blessed in so many ways, especially with hard working volun-teers. THANK YOU !
