NEW Playground Colors

COLOR VALUES Color—it’s one of the first things you see when you look at a playstructure. So it

shouldn’t be an afterthought when designing one. In fact, color can tie the whole story together. Close your

eyes and imagine a pirate-themed playstructure. Next, consider what a western-themed playstructure might

look like. Immediately, the colors shift in order to tell the right story.

But the value of color goes well beyond themes. What does your playground look like in all seasons? What do you

want to enhance or complement? Maple leaves? Desert rocks? Native flowers? How might nearby architecture

influence color choice? Prefer a color scheme that blends in with the environment? Or one that stands out boldly?

All of our colors take a cue from nature, because that’s where your playground will be. But there’s more to

nature than green trees and blue sky. We took inspiration from minerals, birds, spices, fruits and more to

create vibrant hues that stimulate the senses and perfectly coordinate with the outdoors.

With so much to choose from, selecting your color scheme can be overwhelming. That’s why, after

generating hundreds of color schemes, we arrived at the following 23 carefully curated palettes. Tour

through them all to discover how color can radically change the look of the very same structure. Therein
