Bryant Pierce, MD, director of the Emer- gency Department of Blodgett Memorial Medical Center in Grand Rapids, is the aca- demic advisor and local liaison for the Mid- American Symposiumon Trauma. Dr. Pierce recently stated, "We are very happy that Grand Rapidswas chosen for the sym- posium. Boston Med Flight will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and serve the entire New England area. The helicopter and medical team will be based at Logan Airport.
