244 New products from Leica Three-dimensional images, the striking advantage of stereo microscopy, are now available for observation on remote monitors, for schooling and documentation pur- poses, and for archiving. The LEICA 3-Digital 3D-Video System has recently been developed combining compact- ness with exceptional picture quality. The complete sys- tem consists of a 3D video image pickup module, a 3D camera control unit, the 3D image processing unit, the 3D colour monitor and the appropriate accessories. The pickup module with its two high resolution 112" CCD's is mounted directly in the beam path of the WILD stereo and surgical microscopes. New publication from CCP Computers in the Medical Office, A Doctor's Guide to Saving Thousands in the Purchase and Upgrade of Office Computer Systems, by Samuel Richard Bierstock, M.D., B.S.E.E., is now available in a revised, updated and renamed edition. Within the kit is the book itself, now named Computer Pearl$, A Doctor's Guide to Saving Thousands of Dollars, which is in 3-ring binder form. This format is designed to allow for the addition of updates and supplements to be provided as technological developments applicable to the medical office appear on the scene. The comprehensive questionnaires comprise a detachable appendix to facilitate copying for use in evaluating multi- ple office systems. A separate shrink-wrapped section deals with security, and is intended for the eyes of the physician/owner only. Subject material previously sold in a separate supplement have been incorporated into the body of the book, with such additional subjects covered as outcome analysis, and the many applications of multi- media presentations the medical practice.
