As part of Bosch Rexroth’s effort towards continuous product improve- ment, new TS1 lift-transfer units will soon be available. The current round transfer belt used in the lift-transfer unit is being replaced with a new tooth belt design, which is similar in design to the TSplus EQ2 modules. Some of the key features and benefits of this new tooth belt design include: 1. Antistatic belt design - allows for use in ESD-sensitive applications. 2. Increased surface contact between the top of the belt and bottom of the pallet results in a more reliable pallet transfer. 3. Endless belt construction, or a non- welded molded belt, provides a more robust transfer surface. These new EQ1 modules are identified by new part numbers. Ordering options for each module, along with list pricing, will not change. Note: the components of the former round belt design will continue to remain avail- able for spare parts consumption. The following eight pages are designed to replace pages 6-2 through 6-9 in the TS1 catalog, version 1.0. Lift-Transfer UnitModel EQ1/U
The EQ1/U Lift Transfer Unit is used totransfer pallets perpendicularly off theconveyor. It is used primarily at cornersand intersections
The EQ1/U lift plate is powered up anddown by a single lift pneumatic cylinder.In the center or resting position the beltson the unit are located 2.2 mm belowthe nominal conveyor transport height(or transport surface). In the raisedposition the EQ1/U is lifted 4.4 mmabove the transport surface.
For pass through applications, the EQ1/U is dropped 8.6 mm below thetransport surface.
The EQ1/U is completely reversibleenabling pallet diversion in two direc-tions from a single transfer point.
The EQ1/U can be mounted to a BS1transverse conveyor as well as thestandard ST1 conveyor section.
Each transfer is equipped with steel sidequides to guide the pallets duringtransfer. Each guide may be raised upslightly to act as a pallet stop when thetransfer is in the centered, or rest,position. Optional cushioned transferstops (see page 8-4) may be mounted tothe side guides to provide adjustablecushioned stops instead of hard stopson the transfer.

Tandem Lift-Transfer UnitModel EQ1/TR
The EQ1/TR Tandem Lift Transfer Unittransfers pallets perpendicularlybetween closely spaced parallel conveyorsections using three lift-transfer unitsand one drive motor.
A PLC is required to control traffic and,accumulation of pallets on the EQ1/TRis not permitted. Proximity switchinstallation is required to detect palletpresent and pallet passed.
The center section of the EQ1/TR isfixed in place at the transfer height, 2mm above the main line belts. The twoouter sections are normally at rest 2.2mm below the main line belts. Eachsection can be individually actuated, viaair cylinders to raise 4.4 mm andtransfer the pallet, or lower 8.6 mm andallow a pallet to pass through. EQ1/TRtransfers can be mounted to ST1 mainline belt sections, or a BS1 transverseconveyor. This module is completelyreversible to allow bi-directional travel.
Each outer section is equipped with steelside guides to guide the pallets duringtransfer. Tandem Lift-Transverse ConveyorModel EQ1/T
The EQ1/T Tandem Lift Transfer Unittransfers pallets perpendicularlybetween rectangular conveyor sectionsusing two lift-transfer units, one BS1transverse conveyor and one drivemotor.
The EQ1/T Tandem Transfer Modulecombines the functionality of two lifttransfer units and a BS1 transverseconveyor all powered from a singledrive motor. Each EQ1/T includes allrequired mounting hardware as well asthe following components.
The BS1 is used to power the two slavedriven lift transfer units. Each Lift-Transfer may be operated independentlyby energizing the pneumatic cylinderswith separate valves. The transfer unitsare normally at rest 2.2 mm below themain line belt height. When energizedup the transfer raises 4.4 mm to thesame height as the BS1 transverse beltsand the pallet is transferred. Whenenergized down, the transfer lowers 8.6mm, and the pallets are allowed to passthrough on the main line. The EQ1/Ttandem transfer module is completelyreversible, although the allowablepayload is reduced to 15 Kg in reverseoperation.
Side guides on each of the transfer unitsmay be positioned slightly higher tostop a pallet when the transfer is in thecenter or rest position. Optionalcushioned transfer stops (page 8-4)may be added to provide gentlestopping on the transfer.
