On the 17th of June 2016, forensic pathology celebrated 10 years of services under the theme

“Forensic Pathology Services: 10 Years & Reshaping Forensic Pathology Services of the Fu-

ture in the Department Of Health”. .

This celebration of service gave the Forensic Pathologists an opportunity to reflect on the road that is

full of potholes they have travelled . In their presentation they highlighted both their achievements and

challenges they have encountered in the past 10 years of existence.

The MEC for Health, Dr. Sibongiseni Dhlomo was part of this celebration. Before giving them

(Pathologists) Certificates of appreciation, he thanked them for working tirelessly to help the families

who has lost their loved ones and also acknowledged the challenges that they are still facing.

After both teams received their certificates, the cutting of cake took place and celebration was officially

closed.
