ABOUT WSP STEEL WATER PIPESIn Malaysia, large diameter steel pipes are widely used as raw water intake and transfer pipes, potable water mains in the construction of water treatment plants, booster stations and water pipeline projects. Mild Steel Cement - Lined (MSCL) Pipes are steel pipes which are externally coated with bitumen and internally lined with cement, and they are water authorities’ preferred choice for large diameter pipes.
WEIDA STEEL INDUSTRIES SDN BHD (WSI) manufactures high-quality MSCL water pipes and �ttingsunder the brand name of WSP Pipes, from its plant in Demak Laut Industrial Park, Kuching, Sarawak.WSP MSCL pipes are available in sizes ranging from 400mm to 1600mm in diameter.
Employing the latest technology in spiral pipe manufacturing, WSI produces steel pipes of international standards to meet the stringent demand of the water industry. In addition to MSCL pipes, other variants of steel water pipes and �ttings are also available in different types of surface �nish, coating and lining as required by the clients for their water applications.

WSP MSCL pipes and Fittings are certi�ed to BS 534: 1990 and SPAN TS 21827 : Part 1 : 2013. They are approved by Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (SPAN) and State Water Authority of Sarawak for use for water supply projects.

QC checks include both destructive and non-destructive tests, as well as inspection and measurements to ensure that the pipes comply to the relevant standards and customer’s requirements.
