Dr. Michael Dobbins has a thriving practice in the San Francisco Bay Area and is a post-grad faculty member atTCC. He is one of the most revered lecturers in health care and a lecturer in the field of nutrition and herbal therapy.Dr. Dobbins’ dynamic and easy-to-understand multimedia presentation on nutrition therapy enables health careprofessionals to integrate or expand an effective holistic, natural therapy program into their practice. Utilizing thebreakthrough nutritional insights and products of Dr. Royal Lee, Dr. Dobbins illuminates the 100 years of researchthat has proven to result in the most effective nutrition therapy known today.

Mr. Michael Taromina, Esq., is a graduate of Fordham University and has received his juris doctor from the CityUniversity of New York Law School (CUNY). Michael is Chair of the National Certification Commission for Acupunc-ture and Oriental Medicine’s Professional Ethics and Disciplinary Committee. For over a decade he has litigated,educated, advocated and authored for the advancement and protection of the AOM profession in the United States.During his career, Mr. Taromina has lectured before government officials, state regulators, practitioners, attorneys,vendors and students across the country and overseas.

In addition, he received the 2008 AAAOM Award for Excellence and has assisted many states through their effortsto introduce and amend AOM legislation.

Dr. Chris Colloca has proven to be a leader in the chiropractic forefront over the past decade. He transformedchiropractic instrument adjusting delivery with his inventions of the Impulse® and the Impulse iQ® Adjusting Instru-ments and technique applications in the Neuromechanical System®. His inspiring and practical lectures centered onchiropractic research have moved audiences throughout the U.S. and around the globe. Dr. Colloca has built interna-tional research collaborations with some of the top scientists and physicians abroad and his award-winning researchhas culminated in over 50 journal publications.

Introducing Our Spectacular Speakers

Brigadier General Becky Halstead has been a chiropractic advocate for many years and continues in this roletoday as a spokesperson for The Foundation of Chiropractic Progress, a not-for-profit organization dedicated toincreasing public awareness of chiropractic.

She graduated from West Point in 1981 as a U.S. Army Ordnance officer. She was the first female graduate ofWest Point to be promoted to General Officer. She was also the first female in U.S. history to command in combat atthe strategic level by commanding the highest level organization for logistics (3rd Corps Support Command) in theCombat Theater of Iraq. Additionally, she is an experienced leader and logistician, effective communicator andstrategic planner with exceptional organizational skills with over 15 years of executive level leadership experiencedeveloping and training high performing, complex and diverse teams capable of strategic planning and execution.

Dr. Teresa M. Hoban is the Director of the Academy for Professional Success at New York Chiropractic College. A1997 NYCC alumna, Dr. Hoban has owned and operated two successful chiropractic offices – one in Syracuse, N.Y.,and the other in her hometown of Penn Yan, N.Y. Prior to attending NYCC, Hoban earned a Bachelor of Science inAgricultural Economics from the University of Georgia, in 1986, and a Master of Business Administration at WilmingtonCollege, in Delaware, in 1994, and spent several years gaining insight into business and business management as amanager for production companies. Dr. Hoban’s expertise in both business and chiropractic is helping New YorkChiropractic College to meet the demand for business education as part of its curriculum.

A member of the American Public Health Association, Dr. Hoban is a certified Physicians Coach and is in theprocess of obtaining certification for co-active coaching. In her capacity as Director of the Academy for ProfessionalSuccess, she designed and is instructing a signature class in Business and Practice Management. She continues todevelop programming for alumni and students that is engaging and relevant to today’s business environment.

Ms. Anna Allen, NCMIC professional relations representative, received her BSN in nursing from Grandview Col-lege and her master’s degree in Nursing Education and Administration from Drake University.

Prior to joining NCMIC, Ms. Allen was a medical fraud analyst supervisor for Unisys Corporation, head nurse/outreach coordinator/educator at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, and emergency department R.N. Her specialtiesincluded care of the psychiatric and emergency room patient.

She has conceived, planned and presented workshops nationally on health care fraud and care of chronically illpatients and given hundreds of other presentations throughout the U.S. Ms. Allen is an adjunct professor for postgraduate education at National University of Health Sciences, and an adjunct assistant professor to the postgradu-ate and continuing education faculty of the New York Chiropractic College.

Dr. Mario Fucinari has helped train doctors and staff over the last 20 years. He received his bachelor’s degreefrom Wayne State University in Detroit and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in1986. After graduating from Palmer College, Dr. Fucinari completed studies in chiropractic orthopedics and attainedhis certification as a chiropractic sports physician.

He currently practices full time in Decatur, Ilinois and is on the faculty and post-grad faculty at Logan ChiropracticCollege. Dr. Fucinari is a certified medical compliance specialist. He was the recipient of the 2003 President’s Awardfrom the Illinois Chiropractic Society for his work with education and training.

Dr. Lisa Bloom is a Fellow of the International Academy of Clinical Neurology. She holds a Diplomate and BoardCertification from the International Board of Chiropractic Neurology and a Diplomate in Applied Chiropractic Sci-ences. Dr. Bloom is a popular lecturer and has been the featured speaker at conferences in over 40 states in the US,as well as an invited speaker internationally.

Dr. Bloom has lectured on topics in neurology in the UK, Canada, and the Netherlands. A multiple winner of theFaculty Excellence and Pride in Chiropractic Awards, Dr. Bloom served on the National Board of Chiropractic Examin-ers Test Committee from 1999-2007. An examiner and lecturer for the International Academy of Chiropractic Neu-rology, Dr. Bloom currently serves as a Board Member of the International Academy of Neurology. Dr. Bloom is anAssociate Professor in the Diagnosis Division of the Clinical Sciences Department of New York Chiropractic College.

Ms. Caroline Radice has been studying and practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine with a specialty in Obstetricsand Gynecology since 1992. After receiving her BA in Psychology and Biology from Boston University, she receivedher Master’s training at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco and did post-gradu-ate study at the Nanchang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Nanchang, China. She has been a facultymember at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, Mercy College Graduate Department of Oriental Medicine, Tri-State College of Acupuncture and Touro College Graduate Department of Oriental Medicine and has also givenpublic and private lectures on Chinese Herbology, Acupuncture, and Fertility throughout the New York area at areasdiverse as the New York Botanical Garden, Museums, Health Fairs, the Swedish Institute Continuing Education Pro-gram, and as a consultant to Life Magazine. She currently maintains private practices in New York City and ShortHills, NJ and is Mom to two young daughters.

Mr. Michael Jabbour earned his Masters degree from Touro College Graduate Program in Oriental Medicine(GPOM) in traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. During this time he has done extensive work in Chinesemedical text translation. He is an active speaker on several circuits speaking on issues of technology, medicine, andpolitics pertaining to Traditional Chinese medicine.

Mr. Jabbour is one of the founding directors of the New York State Acupuncture Coalition and the current Presi-dent of the Acupuncture Society of New York (ASNY). He maintains a private practice in acupuncture and herbologyin Forest Hills, New York.

Dr. David Graber, is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician as well as a Diplomate of the American ChiropracticBoard of Sports Physicians. Licensed in both New York and New Jersey, he has been in private practice in New Jerseysince 1987. He earned an associate degree in biology from Nassau Community College in 1982; holds a number ofcertifications, including hospital protocol and manipulation under anesthesia; and is a registered practitioner inbiocranial therapy. Postgraduate studies include radiology, nutrition, TMJ dysfunction, stress management, kinesi-ology, and rehabilitation, among others. A former instructor of orthopedic diagnosis and chiropractic technique atNYCC, Graber has also been an instructor for the Sports Chiropractic Physician Diplomate Program Review. A largeportion of his case load is devoted to sports and accident injuries and family practice.
