New York Fashion Week - Feb/July/Sept

SUPERVISION OF YOUR OFP EXPERIENCE: On-sight supervision by

your OZLINK Director and OFP Team, from arrival in New York on Day 1 to your

departure on Day 9. All our team members are experienced professionals and

travellers, familiar with New York and the entertainment industry

PREPARATION: via a series of skype interviews and/or face to face workshops.

Your preparation is personally supervised by OZLINK Director, Amanda O’Brien and will include such topics as

grooming, wardrobe requirements, image styling, portfolio composition, interviewing, marketing materials, travel

guidelines, travel health, visa requirements, networking, social media protocols, professional communication, foreign

currency, budgeting, scheduling, calculating taxes and service fees.

MEALS: A cooked breakfast will be provided each day in the apartment, prepared with a SMILE by our OZLINK

New Yorkers! (A range of healthy snacks and lunch makings can be purchased at a variety of stores in the

neighbourhood. We often go by Starbucks and a whole bunch of other coffee stops! Evening meals can be purchased

down town between sessions or at the end of the night.

ACCOMMODATION: Eight (8) nights in a quality

New York City apartment, keeping in mind that New York

is known for “close” living. Apartments are smaller, more

compact and less light and airy than anything we may be

accustomed to in Australia and New Zealand. OFP digs

are not luxurious but they are centrally located in good

neighbourhoods, close to all amenities, comfortable and

with a great NYC vibe. We want our models to

experience real life in New York as working professionals

in the fashion industry. The OFP digs are of course

subject to availability during NYFW and will be as

luxurious as we can possibly provide on our trip budget

RUNWAY WALKS: Not less than two (2) Runway walks at New York

Fashion Week, including castings for a range of shows and international

designers.

FASHION SHOWS: Audience tickets to not less than (2) NYFW shows according

to the seasonal calendar. Exact shows to be confirmed close to departure.

PHOTO SHOOTS: Not less than Two (2) industry photo shoots with

outstanding and accredited New York fashion photographers, including

a full Fashion Studio Shoot and the Landmarks of New York Shoot –

Time Square, Rockefeller Plaza, Brooklyn Bridge, Historic Sea Port,

Staten Island Ferry Central Park etc.

TRAINING SESSIONS: Not less than six (6) hours intensive training from a

selection of industry providers on such topics as Upper Body Modelling, Runway

- Technique and Turns, Style and Image consult, On-Camera presenting for

TV and commercial work, Use of props, Working in a group shoot,

Interviewing, Casting protocols and much more. Three (3) sessions per

model. All sessions are conducted by experienced and recognized A- list

professionals of New York.

EDUCATION at the New York Fashion Institute of

Technology (FIT). We will visit the Fashion Museum and take the

audio tour. This is a fabulous opportunity to see iconic couture from

some of the most famous collections in the world. At FIT we learn about

fashion through the ages, exotic cultural influences and people who have

shaped our idea of style.

INTERVIEWS WITH NEW YORK AGENTS: Interviews are scheduled with a

select group of A-list agencies operating at the heart of the New York market. We

already have models signed and working in New York and our agent relationships are

all long standing and trusted. These are people you will be proud and privileged to

meet. We accompany our models to all interviews and are happy to facilitate

individual pre-arranged appointments where possible. This part of the program is of

course subject to interest from the agents themselves and will be confirmed based on

circulation of model books prior to departure.

FITNESS and/or BEAUTY: Choose either a fitness or beauty

session with recognized New York personal trainers and/or beauticians.

Receive the advice and guidance you need to be sure you are

projecting international appeal in the market place.

INTRODUCTIONS: Priceless introductions to dozens of fashion

directors, show curators, designers, photographers and managers.

You will be working with high end people on a daily basis, speaking

with them face to face, adjusting your technique to their taste and

requirements and they will be entrusting their success to your

performance!

EXPOSURE: Opportunities to be MODEL SPOTTED by leading designers and fashion directors. Every group

is different and every model journey is also different, but models who took part in our February 2017 OFP received,

without exception, open invitations to return for future shows and shoots in New York !

REFERRALS: Opportunities to be referred to other industry professionals in the US market and in the top end of

your home market.

TOOLS, REELS AND PHOTOGRAPHY: With OFP you will have access

to high end New York videographers and photographers so you can look forward

to bringing home some exceptional footage and shots of you ON and OFF runway

- Fabulous for building your book and your credibility in any market!

FREE TIME: There is little time to recharge the batteries in this action packed

adventure. You will see a lot of the city across the week including different

neighbourhoods, Up Town, Down Town and the high spots of Manhattan. We do

understand the need for down time though so we allow some free spots on the

schedule for you to part-take of the NYC night life or have a day time adventure.

Whether it’s a Broadway show, comedy club, sports game or just a wander through

the fallen leaves of Central Park. Lunches and evening meals for example will

often be out in the city with spare time to follow, and some afternoons can be freed

up in and around the show schedule once it is finalised. So yes, while we have no

scheduled sight-seeing included, there will be opportunities for you to soak up New

York in all her glory! We know New York well and we are happy to help you put

together sight-seeing ideas to fit your budget before departure.
