Mr. Beaudroault, husband of the former Veronica Cook, daughter of Mrs. Anna Cook of Warburton Ave., Hastings, and wife are visiting in Holyoke. Mass., with hie parents, Mr. and Mr*. Joseph Beaudreault who moved to that city two years ago from Dobbs Ferry.

tioned with the Army Engineers at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, will leave tomorrow to return to that camp after spending an eight-day furlough with his wife and children at Lefurgy Avenue. Corporal Yozzo is a former member of the local police department.

COMPLETES BOOT TRAINING Seaman Louis S. Basha has com
pleted boot training at Bainbridge, Md., and is concluding a holiday visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Basha of Atilda Street.
Seaman Basha will report Wednesday at the Navy offices in, the Pentagon Building, Washington, D. C. He enlisted last Spring and was called to training in September.

LIBRARY CLOSED The Dobbs Ferry Free Library
will close on Monday, December 31 at five o'clock and will be closed all day New Year's Day, Miss Ack-erman, librarian, has announced.
Corporal Robert D. Crawford of the U. 8. Marines was honorably discharged on Wednesday at Camp Bainbridge, Md., after nearly four years of service in the Armed Forces.
Corporal Crawford Is a son of Mr. and. Mrs. Al Crawford of Maple Street. He served 21 months in the South Atlantic at Puerto Rico and Trinidad before going to the Pacific where he was stationed at Guadalcanal and took part in the invasions of Guam and Okinawa. He was in Japan with the occupation forces before returning to the United States.
Corporal Crawford enlisted in the Sixth Division of the Fourth Marines. He enlisted on March 18, 1942, and after training at Parris Island was stationed at Norfolk before going overseas. . He is a graduate of Dobbs Ferry High School and was employed by the' Masters School.

Ex-Marine And Pacific Vet Took Vowa Saturday In N e w j o r k City
Miss Barbara Beryl Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry D. Jones of 266 Dorchester Avenue, Hastings, was married Saturday to Sergeant Stanley Hall Howard, U.S.M.C.R., son of Mrs. T. V. Willingham of Fort Worth, Tex., and Duane Howard of Houston, Tex.
The wedding took place in the chapel of the Church of the Transfiguration in New York City with the Rev. Dr. Randolph Ray officiating. ' .
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Mise Dorothy P. McOrath of Hastlngs-6n-Hudson.
Best man was Technical Sergeant Frank Van Note, U.S.M.C, of Long Branch, N. J.
Ushers were Corporal Paul Bor-ella and Corporal John Gumbretht, both of the U.S.M.C.R.
A wedding luncheon was held at the Midston House for the bridal party and close relatives.
Mrs. Howard was graduated from Hastings High School and attended Barnard College. She was honorably discharged from the U. S. Marine Corps, Women's Reserve, last September.
Sergeant Howard returned last month.after 15 months of service in the Pacific area. He will be stationed at El Centra, Calif., until discharged.

The publication also contains greetings from the firm's plants and offices in Oslo, Norway, Cairo, Egypt; Rio De Janeiro, Argentina; Canada, Australia and Columbia, South America.
Philips manufactures lamps for lighting, X-ray apparatus, transmitting equipment, electrical devices, radio and television apparatus. During the war the Nonh American Philips Company in Dobbs Ferry was engaged in supplying radio crystals and other materials for the United States and its Allies.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur J. Crowley of 871 Farragut Road, Hastings, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Ensign Margaret Powers Crowley of the Waves, to Lieutenant (j.g.) William N. Cas-sella, Jr., U.S.N.R., son of Mr. and Mrs. William M. Cassella of Alton, Illinois.
Ensign Crowley, who is stationed In Washington, received a master's degree from Syracuse University after being graduated in 1941 from the University of Vermont where she was assistant dean of women. ' .
Lieutenant Cassella, who is stationed at the Naval College, R. I., was graduated from the University of Illinois.,and received the master's degree from Syracuse University. He served in the Pacific area for 22 months.

The South Side Recreation Band, formerly the Hastings Municipal Band, has adjourned rehearsals until after the holidays and will resume weekly rehearsals on Sundays beginning on January 6 at Protection Hall on Wurburton Avenue.
Steven Snyder is* director of the band and Harry Llljewall Is chairman of personnel and recruiting activities. All residents of Hastings and vicinity are invited* to Join the band. There Is no fee for either participation or instruction.
George Kennes, son of Mrs. Julia Kennes of 543 Warburton Avenue) Hastings, has been honorably discharged from the Army In which he served three years and a month. >
, Mr. Kennes was a corporal with the 601st Anti Aircraft Battalion and fought with the American advance from Normandy into Germany. He holds the E.T.O. Ribbon with four battle stars, the Good Conduct Ribbon and Victory Medal.
He Joined the Army in November, 1942, and went overseas in March, 1*944. His brother, Corporal Alexander Kennes, a veteran of more than two years in Europe, was discharged two months ago.

Pfc. Monteleone b Discharged
Served Over Three Years In Europe} Has Two Stars, Arrowhead
Private First Class Augustine Monteleone, who served three years- and three months overseas, was honorably discharged on November 26f at Fort Dix and is now residing with his father, Nicholas Monteleone of 10 Ogden Avenue.
Mr. Monteleone Joined the Army in March, 1942, and five months later was assigned to Iceland with an Ordnance unit. He went to England later and then to France and Belgium. He holds the E.T.O, Ribbon1 with two battle stars, an invasion spearhead, the Good Conduct Ribbon and the Victory Medal. Before going into the Service he was employed by the Anaconda Wire and Cable Company.
Nicholas A . Landzert Nicholas A. Landzert of 138
Fairmont Street, Hastings, «a retired hotel ^operator, died last Thursday la the Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern. N. Y., at the age of eighty-seven. , ,
Born In Strasbourg, France, Mr. Landzert was brought to Canada at the age of fourteen. He came to the United States soon afterwards and was in the hotel business in New York City. He retired in 1925.
A resident of Hastings for the last 3l years, Mr. Landzert was a member of the Holy Name Society of St., Matthew's Roman fJathollc Church there!
His wife, the former Mary. Elisabeth Jones, died about 30 years ago. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George F. Boucher and Miss Sue M. Landzert, both of Hastings, and two sons, Laurnece J. Landzert, also of Hastings,- and Joseph T. Landzert of Brooklyn.
John P. Snyder John Philip Snyder, a native of
Mount Vernon, and a former resident of Dobbs Ferry for 20 years, died suddenly ,last Friday of a heart attack in Buffalo, where he was employed as assistant chief clerk with'the New York Central Railroad.

Street, Mt. Vernon, and the late! John Henry Snyder, Mr. Snyder was graduated from Mt. Vernon schools and lived there until about 24 years ago when he moved to Dobbs Ferry where he was employed by the*"rail road. Before moving from Dobbs Ferry, he re-Bided on Orchard Street. He lived in Buffalo for the past two years.
Mr. Snyder was in the employ of the New York Central Railroad for 30 years and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Mt. Vernon. Besides his mother, he is survived by a brother, George V. Snyder, also of Mt. Venon. Mr. Snyder was a widower.

Mrs. Monahan was a member of the Altar Society, the Senior Sodality and the League of the Sacred Heart, all of the Sacred Heart Church of this village.
Surviving are one son, V. Raymond Monahan; one sister, Mrs. Kathleen Cecil Keyes. both et Dobbs Ferry, and otte grandchild.

Eugene A. Biegen Eugene Aloyslus Biegan, father
of Mrs. Michael J. Smith of Yon-kers, died Sunday at his home, 1069 Washington Avenue, Pelham Manor. He was editor and publisher of the Parish Bulletin, Catholic News Publishing Company'with offices at 132 Larch-mont Avenue, Larchmont. ^
Born in Qobbs Ferry, Mr. Biegan was the son of Peter Melchoir Biegan and Catherine Roth Biegen. A resident of Pelham Manor for the last live years, he was e communicant of St. Catharine's Church there.
Surviving besides hie daughter, Mrs. Smith, are bis wife, Mrs. Margaret Loretta O'Qrady Biegan; two other daughters, Mm. Joseph P. Qualey of Pelham Manor and Mrs. Robert A. Cremlns of Pelham; two brothers, Leo P. Biegan of the Bronx, and John Biegan of Great Neck, L. I.; and two sisters, Miss Anna Biegan of the Bronx, and Mother J. Biegan, of a religious order in Albany.

on Monday morning at the Sacred Heart Church, Broadway, with the Rev. William F. McCarthy, assistant pastor, officiating, for Mrs. Margaret Kenny Monahan of 17 Belden Avenue, who died Friday in the Dobbs Ferry Hospital.
A resident of this village for 61 years,- she was eighty years old and the widow of John A. Monahan, who died in 1933. Interment followed in Mt. Hope Cemetery,
