Instead of a speaker we talked about our recent meeting with Shamryn Cole, the principal of CC Coppin School. We are so lucky to have focused in on CC Coppin and to have Shamryn as the principal. She is thrilled with our Healthy Snack Program and excited to start our BUGs and K-Kids Programs. It seems like our members are excited too. We had 6 members sign up the BUGs Program and 6 members sign up for K-Kids. Both should be starting shortly… More to come… I would also like to welcome Rochelle Fordin to our club. She is our newest member and we look forward to geing to know her beer. Join us for an Interclub at Lincoln Kiwanis on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. We had a great meeting last Friday even though our speaker had a last

Division Council Meeting (DCM) - October 12, 2015
Free Methodist Church 8790 Oak Avenue, Orangevale CA
Dinner is served at 5:30 pm and the meeting starts at about 6:00 pm. Cost is $10.00 and the meetings are
held from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. This is a great opportunity to learn what other clubs are doing and meet
and socialize with other Kiwanians. 2nd Monday of Each Month.

We have made $261.00 so far for the Admin Account by Selling CNH District Rose Float Raffle Tickets. We
sell Tickets for $5.00 and keep $3.00. Last day to Sell/Purchase is October 31st.

Received grant from Kiwanis International Foundation for the Bridge the Gap Happy Snack Program
Made a connection with the Coppin Elementary School PTC (Parent Teacher Club) to begin combining
our activities. This will provide us with more resources.
Shamryn Cole - Principal, Lana Wilson - President, Lincoln Hills Lions Club, Beth Roberts, Roger Cook
and Bec Cannistraci
Two teachers from Coppin Elementary School have been assigned to create a “leadership” program. The
following Kiwanians will be working with the two teachers to put together the K-Kids Program: Rae Cook,
Jennifer Holbrook, Mary Traverna, Minnie Gonzalez, Mary Luciano and Beth Roberts A meeting will be
called for the last week of October for our Kiwanis volunteers.
Beth provided an update from the meeting with the Coppin Elementary School Principal, Shamryn Cole.
This will be an after school program from 2:45pm-3:45pm, 3 days a week. (Tuesday-Thursday). People can
pair up together to cover the 3 days. We have no start date as yet. The following people have signed up
for this program: Jennifer Holbrook, Dottie Doctor, Bob Day, Minni Gonzalez, Lou Hill, Karen Thompson.
