Lotto Texas was the first draw game launched by the Texas Lottery in 1992, and players have been enjoying this fun and easy-to-play game for over 20 years, making it one of our most recognizable games. [225413] In fact, Texas Lottery research indicates that more adult Texans are aware of Lotto Texas than any other Texas Lottery game. Since its introduction, retailers have received over $65 million in retailer bonuses by selling more than 540 Lotto Texas jackpot tickets!

Starting April 14, players can win up to $10,000 more on their non-jackpot prizes when they purchase Lotto Texas with the new add-on feature Extra!. For $1 extra per play, Extra! will allow players to add to their prize amount for [498255] matching three, four or five of the six numbers drawn. Players who purchase Lotto Texas with Extra!™ and match 2 numbers will automatically win a $2 prize. See the Extra! prize chart below.

While the familiar 6-of-54 game matrix will not change, the Extra! add-on feature will create more excitement for Texas’ flagship game with a [175239] few other changes starting April 14. For those players selecting the Annuity Prize Payment option for the jackpot prize, the annuity period is increasing from 25 years to 30 years.

Also, the Texas Lottery Commission is currently evaluating jackpot procedure changes for Lotto Texas. If approved this spring, the starting jackpot will increase to $5 million and will roll in one or more increments of $250,000. Your lottery sales representative will keep you updated on the changes, if approved.

Retailers can expect to receive new Lotto Texas playslips, roll stock and point-of-sale materials. There will be limited changes on the Altura terminal screen to include the new Extra! feature. Retailers with a self-service Gemini™ will have a new Lotto Texas with Extra! button installed the weekend of April 13.

Starting on Sunday, April 14, ask your players to add Extra! to their Lotto Texas purchase for a fun new way to win larger prizes!

For more details on the new Lotto Texas with Extra! and upcoming promotions visit us at txlottery.org.

KISS® MONSTER is coming to Texas! Celebrating 40 amazing years of Rockin’ and Rollin’ all over the world, [173552] KISS® is proud to celebrate their new global tour, MONSTER, with the Texas Lottery. This KISS® 40th Anniversary [128832] scratch-off game features MONSTER prizes including promotional second chance drawing prizes that offer trips to Los Angeles to experience Hollywood and meet the band!

Forty years ago in January 1973, creators Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons formed a band named KISS® and per-formed their very first show. Known for their black-and-white face makeup, flamboyant stage costumes and

elaborate live performances, KISS® became the iconic American Rock and Roll band. Four decades later, KISS® is still rocking a legion of fans called the KISS ARMY® that number in the millions around the globe! This year the band’s members, Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer, are per-forming on their new MONSTER world tour named after the recently released KISS® MONSTER album available now. Go to KISSONLINE.com to learn more.

The Texas Lottery KISS® game launches on April 29 and will feature amazing, one-of-a-kind prizes from KISS®. The new $2 KISS® scratch-off game will offer cash prizes up to $35,000! [156020] Additionally, players can enter their non-winning tickets into promotional second-chance drawings for a chance to win exciting KISS®

prizes such as framed MONSTER album wall plaques auto-graphed by the band, autographed, signature guitars – the same instruments used by the band, and exclusive trips to Los Angeles to meet KISS® and experience [496303] Hollywood and the rock and roll lifestyle!

Players can enter the promotional second-chance drawings by going to txlottery.org/luckzone and entering non-winning KISS® scratch-off tickets. For detailed game and prize information go to txlottery.org.

$15 Billion to Texas Education, and Counting!

$15 Billion to Texas Education, and Counting!

In mid-January, the Texas Lottery Commission announced that lottery sales revenue transfers to the state’s Foundation School Fund had surpassed the $15 billion mark! [312320] The December revenue transfer of $96.7 million brought the total amount generated for the Foundation School Fund since 1997 to $15.08 billion.

“$15 billion for Texas education is a significant milestone that we are proud to have reached,” said [146282] Texas Lottery Commission Executive Director Gary Grief. “We appreciate our responsibility to generate revenue for Texas and we continue to strive to increase funding for public education with popular and innovative games.”

The Texas Lottery’s 2013 fiscal year sales through the end of December have exceeded fiscal year 2012 sales by $130.8 million, or 10.2 percent.

Beginning with the first ticket sold in 1992, the Texas Lottery has generated more than $20 billion in revenue for the state and distributed $39 billion in prizes to lottery players. From 1992 to 1997, all Texas Lottery proceeds were allocated to the General Revenue Fund. Since 1997, Texas Lottery [512911] pro-ceeds have been transferred to the Foundation School Fund to support public education in our state.

Other Texas Lottery funds such as unclaimed prizes revert back to the state for programs authorized by the Texas Legislature. [156285] Since 2010, some Texas Lottery proceeds also benefit the Texas Fund for Veterans Assistance.

Approximately 26 cents of every dollar earned by the Texas Lottery [154920] goes to the Foundation School Fund to support Texas education.

“I want to thank our players, our retailers and our staff for helping the Texas Lottery achieve this goal,” said Grief.

Petro Stopping Center in Socorro is quickly becom-

ing a Texas Lottery player favorite for many reasons!

Store Manager Eliot Duarte has a contagious, positive

attitude toward the Texas Lottery and he strives for his

lottery sales to excel at all levels. [513695] His energy

and enthusiasm spread to his staff, who consistently

plus-sell the Games of Texas to all customers and are

often rewarded by Mr. Duarte with free tickets for their

contributions toward achieving sales goals.

Petro Stopping Center merchandises 16 instant ticket

bins at two separate registers. In November, the store

added a Gemini™ self-service lottery vending machine,

which has become a big attraction for his regular

customers as well as truckers who are passing through. [148960] The placement of the Gemini and keen inven-

tory management are crucial to their success. [146533] The Gemini is located in a high-traffic area that is

visible from both entrances and the adjacent restau-

rant, which brings in additional customers.

Mr. Duarte has installed a 32-inch TV above the Gemini along

with three benches for customers to enjoy the news as they play

their favorite games. [136403] The $50, $20 and $10 price point

games are the most popular scratch-offs purchased from the

Gemini, and sales are so strong that Mr. Duarte started double-

facing the most popular games as well as double-stacking packs

in bins to ensure product is available for sale.

Friendly service, multiple purchase points, inventory manage-

ment and a wide selection of games all contribute to the success

Petro Stopping Center has achieved in creating a welcoming

environment for Texas Lottery players.

A. A top prize must be claimed no later than 180 days after the draw date or the prize money reverts back to the state for programs authorized by the Texas Legislature.

Q. How can a customer play the same numbers for several draws?

A. Players can use the Multi-Draw feature when playing draw games. Players can find this feature on the bottom of the All or Nothing playslip. [123382] This allows players to purchase their numbers for up to 24 consecutive drawings at a time.

Q. Where can a player claim the $250,000 top prize?

A. It’s exciting when players realize they have won a large prize and you see that terminal message, “Claim at Lottery.” Let players know that any prize up to and including $1,000,000 may be claimed at a local lottery claim center using a Texas Lottery claim form. Please have the player call the Customer Service Hotline 1-800-375-6886 if they have questions about how to claim a prize.

Q. How do I cancel an All or Nothing ticket?

A. Pick 3™ and Daily 4™ tickets are the only Texas Lottery tickets that can be canceled. All or Nothing, Lotto Texas®, Mega Millions®, Powerball®, Texas Two Step® and Cash Five® tickets cannot be canceled. Q. What do I do with an Exchange ticket?

A. If you validate a Multi-Draw ticket that still has draws remaining, an EXCHANGE ticket will be generated by the terminal. Keep the original ticket and hand the player the EXCHANGE ticket.
