Change of Locution

Immaculate Heart College’s Masters Degree Program in Clinical Art Therapy, approved by the American Art Therapy Association, is being transferred in total to Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles. Helen Landgarten, MA, ATR, HLM, will remain as Di- rector and the entire faculty will be kept intact. All of the courses, requirements and high educa- tional standards will be continued. This move is necessitated by Immaculate Heart College’s fi- nancial stress and the decision not to raise tuition fees nor to sacrifice the teacher-student ratio and the exceptionally fine quality of education upon which their reputation was built.

Loyola Marymount University is planning to keep the tradition of limiting the number of in- coming students. In the Fall a two-unit evening course, “Survey of Art Therapy,” will be offered as well as a February annual conference. Re- quests for further information may be made by writing to Helen Landgarten, Graduate Depart- ment, Clinical Art Therapy, Loyola Marymount University, Loyola Boulevard at West 80th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90045.
