21ST IPS NATIONAL PG CONVENTION 2019 GUJARAT

April 7th Mahatma Mandir Convention Center Gujarat:- The 21st IPS PG Conventio was held at the Mahatma Mandir Convention center Gandhinagar Gujarat along with the Narsingh Bhai Patel Dental college and University Viznagar . The chief guest of the day was DR Jayanthi Ravi Principle secretary and commissioner , Government of Gujarat The inaugural ceremony was followed by a scintillating Dr TM Udani oration by Dr V Rangarajan Vedantham The keynote scientific sessions that followed were very impressive The outstanding venue - The Mahatma Mandir was breath taking to tell the least The students poster presentations were also held in the afternoon session Dr V Rangarajan was honored by the IPS Gujarat State branch for his immense contribution to the IPS The IPS recognition awards were conferred to Dr Dayakar Sir and Dr Shweta Kumaraswamy by the IPS president Dr Ravindra savadi in an impressive function. The trade fare was earlier inaugurated by the IPS President Dr Ravindra Savadi On the 6th of April preconference courses were inaugurated by the IPS President at the Narsing Bhai Patel dental College Viznagar. The after noon session saw hectic activities in quiz , teeth setting competition, and student papers which were held in 30 different halls .A master class series were on for the exam going post graduates with dedicated teachers handling different sessions. Kudos to Dr.J R Patel the organizing chair ,DR Vilas Patel the organizing secretary , Dr Rajesh Sethuraman Scientific Chair , and all the organizing committee members of the IPS Gujarat state branch for a wonderful convention .

Members of the Indian Prosthodontic Society all over the country joined in together pledging our support to the fellow brethren of the medical fraternity and observing it as IPS SOLIDARITY DAY The HO thanks every one for heeding to the call for a just cause.

A NEW BABY IS BORN – IPS WEST BENGAL STATE BRANCH 28TH APRIL 2019 witnessed the formal inauguration of the Indian prosthodontic Society West Bengal State branch and the installation of Dr Uday Vir Gandhi as its founder president and the executive council of the branch . It was the 18th regional branch of IPS to date The ceremony was a highly impressive one with Dr Rangarajan Vedantham being the chief guest

They will undergo training in various Universities in Japan for a period of 4 to 6 weeks . As all of you are aware 54 of our members have availed this opportunity in the last 10 years. IPS JPS INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC EXCHANGE PROGRAM

An inter disciplinary workshop by the Indian Prosthoodntic Society and the Indian Society of Periodontics was held on the 24th and 25th of August 2019 .The venue was the very picturesque Mahe Institute of Dental Sciences . Mahe Pondicherry This inter disciplinary workshop by the IPS and ISP had a grand two days of exchange of ideas n deliberations between two of the most interlinked specialties on areas of common interest. Dr Jangala Hari ,Dr Vinod Krishnan Dr Ravi Savadi ,Dr Sanath Shetty,Dr Rakshith Hegde Dr Saloni Mehta Mistry,Dr Vasudha Nelluri where the speakers who represented the Indian Prosthodontic Society as the keynote speakers All the topics discussed was of an interdisciplinary nature and highly benefited the delegates from either specialty . Community outreach program of the Indian Prosthodontics Society has been extremely active this year IPS Tamil Nadu and Puducherry state branch conducted a mega denture camp in asocial with the IPS Community outreach program at Little Scholars Mat. Hr. Sec. School, in Tamil Nadu .The camp was coordinated with participation of members from all across the state by Dr. Anand Kumar V, and Dr. Venkatakrishnan along with Dr. T V Padmanabhan, Dr. V Rangarajan , Dr. Jayashree Mohan, Dr. Sanketh Dr Sridhar , Dr Khalid among other members lead the camp. total of 104 patients were benefitted from this camp. A B Shetty Dental College under Dr Chetan Hegde has so far conducted 4 denture camps in and round Mangalore, a total of 100 plus dentures were delivered through all these camps. Dr Sunil Dhaded under IPS Karnataka state branch conducted a denture camp at Arkera Village in Raichur where in a total of 34 dentures were delivered he also conducted another on 22nd October at raichur A total of 36 patients’ were delivered Dentures in this event .Coorg institute of dental sciences conducted a denture cop cap at Arsikkare , in Karnataka and 25 dentures were delivered in a day . Dr Adarsh N , and his team from GDCRI, Ballari conducted the COP at GDCRI, Bellari on 17th, 22nd and 25th of October 2019 a total of 41 patients were delivered CD prosthesis .all these were in association with IPS Karnataka state branch . . Amrita School of Dentistry, Kochi under Dr Anil Mathew conducted a camp in the tribal areas of Wyanad district or Kerala and a total od 34 dentures were delivered to the tribal community. IPS , AP state branch conducted a denture camp at Sri Sai Ashram, Kadappa where in a total of 92 inmates were delivered denture prosthesis of various kinds..Dr Srinavasa rao and his team , Narayana dental college nellur conducted a prosthosontic camp in association with the IPS Community outreach program at Elders home at Swarna Bharathi Trust, Venkatachala Mandal, Nellore district a total 113 patents benefited from this program . This camp was unique in that it focussed on rehabilitating a section of patients requiring Maxilo facial rehabilitation He also conducted a Community Outreaching Program, a free denture camp by Department of Prosthodontics, Narayana Dental College & hospital between 23rd to 30th of September 2019.physically challenged patients were treated in this camp and 25 dentures delivered to them . Kudos to you team nellore IPS AP Annoor Dental College, Kerala under Dr. K P Cherian conducted a denture camp in a village Kalloorkad and 30 full dentures were delivered to patients in a huge public function . Department of Prosthodontics, Narsinhbhai Patel Dental College & Hospital and IPS Gujarat State Branch under Dr. JR Patel Conducted a denture camp at Manav seva samaj trust, Kheda where 100 dentures patients were treated . Department of Dentistry, Government Medical College, Bhavnagar under the ages of Indian Prosthodontic Society, Gujarat State Branch under Dr Jigna Shah delivered 50 dentures to the poor and needy. CMC Ludhiana delivered 70 complete dentures under the community outreach program. IPS Haryana state branch held a denture camp along with the SGT University, Gurugram ,under Dr Manu Rathee and Dr Pooja Malhotra. Dr. Byju Kurian Marbaselios Dental College, Kerala conducted a denture camp where 20 dentures were delivered. Dr. Anil Kumar from GDC Kottayam, Kerala conducted a denture camp for the poor under the COP where a total of 90 dentures were delivered.Dr. N Venkateshan, Adiparashakti Dental College also conducted a denture camp where 53 patients were delivered complete dentures Dr Shalabh and his team from the ITS Dental College, Ghaziabad conducted a denture camp where 72 dentures were delivered to the poor and needy. Thus over all around t 1000 dentures were delivered to the poor under the COP
