A special Assembly on” cleanliness

Drive”:2nd October 2014

On the occasion Gandhi’s birthday, more

memorable honourable, Prime Minister

launched ‘Cleanliness Programme” in all

over India. The school celebrated the day

by organising a special assembly in that

day.

The Head Girl “Yukti Sharma “XII C”

gave a hearty speech by telling about the

importance of personal hygiene .After that

the school students participated in that by

drawing posters, writing slogans &

cleaning the classrooms.

Quiz Competition at Nehru world School

29th September 2014

A quiz competition at Nehru World school

organized on 29 sept 2014. Ten schools

participated in that competition .The girls of

school Ruby Rizwana XI-I &Richa Sharma

XI-A got selected for the final round &got 4th

position. The girls were awarded with certificate

& books based on the life of Mahatma Gandhi.

RANG TARANG: Annual Function

FUSION OF RAINBOW WITH EVENTS:

The school organized a gala function on 19th Oct

2014 “ANNUAL DAY” based on the theme of

colours; Rang Tarang;(fusion of rainbows with

events).On the occasion the chief guest Mr.Joseph

Emmanual(CBSE Education Sec.) & Guest of

Honour Sh. M.K. Sharma(retired Alumni from

MMH College) were welcomed by school

managing committee members;Sh. Dinesh

Goel(President) & Sh. Ajay Goel( Manager) of the

school. During that the meritorious students &

their parents were also awarded by the school

authorities. The theme based programme touched

the heart of everyone. The parent community,

invited guests, teachers all appreciated the

programme by giving a great round of applause.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON RASHTRIYA

EKTA DIWAS :-1st November 2014

The school organised a special assembly on 1 Nov

2014 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of

Sardar Patel, the iron man of India” “Run for

Unity” was followed by class VI students on the

topics “safety & Security”;Unity & Integrity to

inculcate good moral values among children. The

students also showed a skit on the concept of Unity

& Integrity”

On the same day a workshop for class XII students

was organised by the Commerce teachers.

An orientation programme for class XII students

(slow learners & short attendance) to put up more

efforts for these students to be regular & should

maintain a good record in academics.

AN AWARENESS PROGRAMME (A

lecture on Harmonal Imbalance)

The school organised an awareness programme for

the eleventh class students on 3rd Nov 2014. The

topic was Harmonal Imbalance in the body. The

programme was organised by Science teacher Ms.

Hema Verma. She spoke about the advantages &

disadvantages faced by the teenagers when they

under went through the stage of puberty. The

programme developed awareness among

students.

Debate Competition

The literary department of school organized

debate competition on 8thNov 14 for class

VIII, IX to XII & poem recitation for class

VI &VII to develop oral skills among

students. The main emphasis to organise

such competition to develop the confidence

level of students in front of mike .Students

represented their topics with gestures,

confidence level & fluency.

National Literacy

Day

School organized special assembly on

the occasion of the birth anniversary

of “Maulana Abul Kalam Azad” as

National Literacy Day”. The day

celebrated in all over India as

announced by the ministry &

development.

The team members of the all four

houses played energetically. Laxmi

house was the overall winning team

among all four houses. The winners

were awarded with trophy & track suit

by the school managing committee.

A TT Tournament was held at A.K.G

Engineering college. The team won the I

prize among so many schools (U-18) &

had awarded with Rs.24000 cash prize,

trophy & certificate.

In U-18 Khushboo & Deepanshi were

awarded with Rs. 600, Rs. 400.

The sports teacher Ms.Preeti Sharma

was also awarded with trophy &

certificate for playing & supporting

students in both the events.

One day trip to Adventure Island

The school organized one day trip to

adventure Island for class VI to XII on 26 ,28

Nov 2014 & 2nd Dec 2014..The organizer of

the trip Ms. Deepika Aggarwal explained

,how to manage everything in the trip.

The students very excited for the trip. It was

just a fun & frolic for all the students that

apart from entertainment & fun is also

necessary for the students.

For class XI ,the head of English

department Ms. Nandini Dhawan

announced the screening of the

canterville ghost .The students were

able to develop their own ideas by

writing & understanding the questions

based on theme ,plot, character &

incidents. A small seminar was also

conducted on the same day by the

students of class XI A about the

questions of humour from the novel.

Exam Stress: The Phobia

(An Awareness programme on 1 Dec 2014)

Phobia ;the natural fear & stress developed among students

age group. To overcome with these problems ,the

examination incharge Ms. Pooja srivastava organized a

programme for the class XII students. During the programme

, the students of class XII highlighted the cause of stress &

fear during exam through a beautiful skit. They also told the

results of this problem and had focused how to overcome

with such type of problems. A questionnaire was also held

between the teachers and the student’s examination copies.

The programme bore fruitful results.

An Interhouse G.K quiz competition was organized

on 13th Dec. 2014 to encourage participants of

VI to X and inculcate the qualities of team

spirit and sportsman ship among the

students.Various topics were taken like

Idioms & phrases,current affairs ,musical

round history & social science to motivate the

students .The four houses participated

Celebrating National

Mathematic year on the

occasion of 125th birth

anniversary of the great

mathematician Sir Srinivasa

Ramaanujan , the school

celebrated a week by organizing

various activities. The teachers

of the department shared their

experience on giving

educational lectures/speech on

the subject,delivering fruitful

tips to the students to study the

subject.

The week was divided as

according to the activities .per

day an activity was held, as

instructed by the HOD of

mathematics Ms.Pooja

Srivastava.The activities like

quiz, essay writing, poster

making, screening of movie,

orgami(paper folding).play were

the main attractions.

CAREER COUNSELLING

FOR CLASS X

To provide proper guidance & opt for right

subject after class X,A career counselling

programme was organised by the school on

16th January 2015.The programme was hosted

by a panel in which four members focused on

different subjects/streams. The introduction

followed by Dr. Rachna Bhatnagar for science

stream, Ms. Sunanda Majumdar for

humanities,Ms. Himani aggarwal for

commerce & Ms. Parul Martin for vocational

courses. The main objectives were:

1) Providing proper guidelines regarding

every stream

2) To inform about best colleges in all over

India

3) Various job opportunities in public &

private sector with affordable salary

The overall response of the programme was

enthusiastic, appreciated by the students.

BASANT PANCHMI

CELEBRATION

BasantPanchmi was

celebrated in the school with

great pomp and grandeur on

24th January 2015.Arrival of

Basant Panchmi the

environment & mood of the

people. A grand Hawan was

organized by the school

management committee,

principal of the school. The

students,teachers all paid

floral offerings to Goddess

Saraswati & prayed for their

betterment .At last ,Prasad

was distributed to the

students.

REPUBLIC DAY

CELEBRATION

66th Republic Day celebration was

organized on 26th January in the

school premises. The management

committee including manager Sir

sh. Ajay Goel,Vice president

Sh.Amarnath sir, treasurer Sh.

Anurag sir were the guests on the

occasion. The programme started by

flag hoisting, followed by

enthralling dances, patriotic songs

& speeches that marked the

occasion. The teachers & the

students enjoyed the celebrations.

BHASHA DIWAS

A Special assembly was

stage of learning

alphabet/words for a

child”.The school teachers

designing posters as a part of

the children were entitled

Thakurdwara, energetic etc.
