The season came to an end on Saturday with the prize giving ceremony and the team from Road and Sport Harley- Davidson Hamilton won big once again at the Drags. Hamilton’s Michael Johnston riding the modified Harley- Davidson Softail Deuce won the top prize for the Meremere Dragway Competition series Screamin’ Eagles category with 355 points, 25 points more than the 2nd place winner and Lawrence Schicker riding the modified Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide won the 3rd prize with 305 points. The season also saw an all Hamilton final back in February when Lawrence and Michael brought home the top honours winning the top 2 places. Lawrence took the win by a margin of 0.056 seconds. Michael said “I laid down a 0.049 reaction time for a good qualifying position only to be blitzed by Lawrence on the same pass with a phenomenal 0.016 reaction time.” “I had to get into the finals for the season win and I was able to do that, the final was close, it was Lawrence’s day as he was coming out on top everywhere and thoroughly deserved it.” The team from Road and Sport is proud to sponsor the riders.
