The room looked fun and inviting, thanks to Mrs Marsh and her student committee. The students spoke about their favourite memories from Primary School, and their hopes for the future. We shared food and had fun playing around with the photo booth and dress ups. Special thanks to Rachaels Designa Cake ( www.rachaelsdesignacake.com.au ) for the beautiful and delicious display of cupcakes. Thanks also to Carla Russo who worked as our photographer. Diary Dates-
It is not unusual to fi nd myself at this time of the year, in all the hustle and bustle that is the last week of the year, pondering the year that was. As this is the last time I will ponder a Marrara year, I found myself particularly contemplative.
In these moments, I have discovered that it is not awards that we have won, or the top ATAR results that come to mind. Rather, it is people: students, parents, staff and friends of the College that make up a tapestry of moments that together create an image that creates a feeling of great joy. My time at the College has been a fantastic experience and one that I will remember fondly.
Be encouraged, because 2019 is a special year for our community. It will be packed full of events to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the College. It will be great to not only refl ect on the past 40 years, but dream about the next 40.
Finally, I want to thank each and every one of you for the blessing that you have been to me over the years. It has been a privilege and a pleasure.

Term Four Rep� ts
Year 6 students have been building their own remote controlled aeroplanes. They began by tracing patterns onto foam sheets, moved through cutting and assembly, and reached the point where they installed push rods and servos. In class, students were practising their fl ying skills, using our new app.
Finally, it was time to fl y! We all went down to the oval and got our fi rst two planes off the ground. The rest were to follow in the next few days. Compensating for the wind was a bit tricky and we had a few “hurried” landings, but we had lots of great fl ights too.
