I hope everyone has had an amazing summer holiday? It’s a very exciting time with the whole new school year ahead of us. So many possibilities await and I have no doubt that there are adventures to be had! You should have received a copy of our latest HMI report with this letter. Whilst we are delighted that our recent and rapid progress has been recognised by Ofsted, we acknowledge that there is still work to be done to ensure that Leamore Primary School provides the very best education for your children. Staff have worked extremely hard over the summer break. There are several new members of staff to introduce you to. Please find names and photographs for members of each year group team below. Nursery Congratulations to Mrs McCutcheon (Miss Johnson) who got married just before the summer holidays. This year, Mrs McCutcheon returns to being the Nursery teacher. She is also our new permanent SENDCo. Mrs McCutcheon’s team consists of Mrs Kelly and Miss Baker. Reception

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back! I hope everyone has had an amazing summer holiday? It’s a very exciting time with the whole new school year ahead of us. So many possibilities await and I have no doubt that there are adventures to be had!

You should have received a copy of our latest HMI report with this letter. Whilst we are delighted that our recent and rapid progress has been recognised by Ofsted, we acknowledge that there is still work to be done to ensure that Leamore Primary School provides the very best education for your children. Staff have worked extremely hard over the summer break.

There are several new members of staff to introduce you to. Please find names and photographs for members of each year group team below.

NurseryCongratulations to Mrs McCutcheon (Miss Johnson) who got married just before the summer holidays. This year, Mrs McCutcheon returns to being the Nursery teacher. She is also our new permanent SENDCo. Mrs McCutcheon’s team consists of Mrs Kelly and Miss Baker.

ReceptionWe’re very happy to welcome Mr Harrison as our new Reception teacher. The Reception team also includes Mrs Lockett and Miss Baker.

Year OneMiss Francis is our Year One Teacher and remains as the Interim Deputy Head Teacher until at least December 2015. We’re thrilled to welcome Mrs Bradley back to Leamore! Also in Year One is Mrs Bird.

Year TwoCongratulations to Miss O’Connor who also got married over the summer. Miss O’Connor remains as our Year Two teacher and continues as Interim Assistant Head. Mr Wojtal is a new teacher who provides additional support to Year Two in the mornings and then Year Three in the afternoons. Mrs Bryan and Miss Heafield make up the rest of the Year Two team.

Year ThreeWe’re thrilled to announce that Mrs Hargreaves has agreed to be our Year Three teacher. Miss Walker is the other member of the Year Three team.

Year FourThis year, Mr Ellison has moved to Year Four. He is joined by Mrs Burns.

Year FiveIn Year Five, we find another of our new teachers. Mr Gorst joins us from a school in Oldbury. Also in the Year Five team are Ms Stevens (also our Learning Mentor) and Miss Kane.

Year SixMiss Thomas is our new Year Six teacher. Mrs Marriott, Mrs Perrens, Mr Hardwick and Miss Parkin also work in Year Six throughout the week.

Other Members of StaffMiss Luckin continues as our Safeguarding Lead Coordinator and we welcome Miss Nash to the team as our new Family Support Worker.

You will all know that Mrs Barker is our School Business Manager and Mrs Moore is our Admin Assistant.

Special AssemblyOn Friday 11th September, the children will be having two very special visitors in assembly. Marc Griffiths and Kevin will be delivering the ‘Making Good Choices’ show, where Kevin learns to take personal responsibility for his life and believe how special he and others are.

Commando JoeLots of you will have seen Commando Joe on the gate this morning. The Commando Joe programme aims to inspire young people with positive role models. Commando Joe will work with different classes every Monday for the whole school year, where children will have the opportunity to participate in team building exercises.

Thank You!A huge thank you to the mums in Years One and Two who came and helped sort out our exercise book stock today. You know who you are ladies!
