laying around. After a day of pounding and cussing the clutch finally popped off. Then it was another day of drilling and cussing before I was able to get the broken bolt section out.
I did it though and now all I need to do is find a new bolt! In fact I'm going to get two and replace the one in AJ's RZR and keep the old one as a spare, along with my customized broken bolt slide hammer clutch removal tool!
I'm not sure if this is what caused my bolt to break, but I have read you are not supposed to use an impact gun to put this bolt back in. I will use a torque wrench to install the new ones in both RZRs.

Looking Back at Coral Pink With 21 years of trips to look back on, it is fun to go through and pick out some iconic pictures showing what Coral Pink is all about. For those of you who were there hopefully these will bring back some fond memories, and for those of you who haven’t made this trip yet here’s some visual highlights.

Shirley’s waterfall. This trail was discovered in 2013 and comes to an abrupt end at a huge cliff.
Lakes in the upper dunes in 2005. We haven’t seen them again, but the amount of water was spectacular.

Rain is frequent during the trips, but instead of a negative it actually adds to the fun. On the right is Walt draining the canopy in 2004, and below is a reflection in the wet camp in 2008.
Dune rides are great at Coral pink too. Mike Bacon caught these action shots in 2008.
We have had some great rides over many years. It is hard to believe the picture on the left is from 2007, while the one below is from 2013.

This month we’d like to thank Mike Bacon for contributing an article. If you have more to share, please write it up and send it in for use in the coming months. Jim Kastle won the photo contest from last month on his second try, but we’ll wait to post the answers in case anyone else wants to play. The next newsletter will be out in late July and will cover the fun from this year’s Coral Pink trip. We’re sure looking forward to it. -Paul, Melissa, Allie, and Marshall.
The group site has been the central location of the trips since 1996, and was upgraded with a large concrete pad and barbecue in 2011 and then a permanent canopy in 2012. Below was Diesel in 2007.
Road trips have been a great part of the trip for many years. We have visited Zion, Bryce, the Grand Canyon, and Lake Powell which are all within a day’s drive of Coral Pink. At right is lunch at the lodge in Zion in 2006, below is Bryce in 2007.
Doug started something by bringing a side by side in 2006, and they have outnumbered buggies every trip since 2013.
