Dear Big Sky School District Community, Greetings from the Superintendent’s Office! We have finished another busy week here at the District and we have some great news. As of today, our Facebook page goes live. While it has taken the district some time to get on social media, we are excited about this as a means to communicate in live time with the community. Please go to http://www.facebook.com/bssd72.org and “Like” us to get all the up-to-date information from the school district. Our Facebook page will be the place where you can get the latest information concerning district wide events, activities and announcements. Our strategic planning consultant returns next Tuesday for an all-day work session with the steering committee to create a draft of the Strategic Plan for Big Sky School District. As I have mentioned already, the plan will provide a valuable track for the district as we complete our work with the students of Big Sky. Counseling Classroom Lessons will focus on respect and drug prevention. Don't forget, Red Ribbon Week is October 23-31st! Please talk to your children about living a drug-free life!!

Attention ALL K-4 Parents

Several students would like to buy extra lunch items, but do not have parent permission. Please link to the au-thorization form by clicking here to provide permission. Students on Free & Reduced Lunch purchase additional items at their own expense.

2nd Annual Great Pumpkin Giveaway at the Big Sky & Greater Yellowstone Welcome Center Saturday, October 24, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Come to the Big Sky & Greater Yellowstone Wel-come Center on Sat., October 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for the 2nd Annual Great Pumpkin Giveaway. Big Sky Chamber of Commerce staff will be giving away FREE pumpkins, hot cider and Halloween treats to preschool, elementary, middle and high school kids in the Big Sky community. There will be over 400 pumpkins, so pick out a great one for this Halloween at the Welcome Cen-ter! Chamber staff will be taking fall family photos for any interested families and have a few givea-

ways during the event. Don't forget to tag a picture of your carved pumpkin for our social sites using #visitbigsky on your Twitter and Instagram accounts!
