Enviro News Flash : Worms are lactose and gluten intolerant! Well, sort of. Te Ahu Pa@ki has recently started up some worm farms for recycling the food scraps from the children's lunches. Surprisingly, worms can't be given bread, meat or dairy products. To make the most of the valuable daily resource of uneaten food, we're now collec@ng scraps in two buckets: one for the worms and the other for the vegetable gardens. As for the wrappers -‐ they are all being taken home as so many of our parents are now providing their children with reusable containers for their morning tea and lunch. We are grateful to our students and parents for taking up the Enviro challenge and making it such a success. We will be removing the outdoor bins shortly. !Community No7ces Broadfield Netball Club -‐ are having a Ball evening as the club’s main fundraiser for the year. To be held at the Lincoln Events centre, Saturday 15 August, with entertainment from the Vague As Brothers. Get some friends together and come along for a night of fun and dancing. See flier below for more informaDon, or talk to Fran at school or on 3477395.
