QUALITY @ CAPACIT'E Systems Complementing People

QA/QC function is now well equipped with dedicated &

experienced quality team for every project based on the

quantum of work and its complexity.

A dedicated QA/QC Cell in Head Office is led by Mr. K K

Pathak, with QA/QC Coordinators in Mumbai, Delhi &

Bangalore, to provide support to the Project Sites.

The QA/QC team establishes the Project Quality Plan

(PQP), the Inspection & Testing Plan (ITP), the Method

Statements and the Check-lists for every Project at the

time of commencement.

The QA/QC team adopts a systems approach to quality

management to monitor process quality assurance and

product quality control.

To this effect routine site visits are carried out and Site

Inspection Reports (SIR), rating the performance of the

Project under an evaluation criteria covering various

parameters including the material source quality, mix

design optimization, concrete strength, work quality,

workmanship, finish quality, customer satisfaction level,

non-conformity status etc. This inspection process covers

every Project, on a monthly basis.

The SIR Summary renders overall picture of the QA/QC

compliance level, enabling focus on continual

improvement.

Project trend regarding the variables are mapped to

assess to continual improvement. Organizational trends

in regard to the variables (work & finish quality) are also

graphically presented to the Top Management. Monthly

statistical reports are established at every project &

analysed at Head Office to assess the consistency of

product quality.

QA/QC training workshops are conducted in-house at

project sites to train the construction engineers,

supervisors & foremen – as part of the “Plan,

Communicate & Implement” philosophy.

Troubleshooting at project sites, adoption of latest

technical developments in high rise building construction

works to overcome construction difficulties, quarterly

QMS Audit as per ISO 9001:2008 at all project sites etc.

are also undertaken diligently by the QA/QC team.

The QA/QC team has developed and implemented modern

concreting techniques such as high retention concrete

(over 15 hours of retention / workability enabling large

pours spread over multiple days – suitable for projects

where continuous concreting round-the-clock is not

possible due to location and working hour limitation) and

split dosing of admixture (for RMC transported over long

distances). The QA/QC team is focused on zeroing repair /

rectification / rework, through process quality assurance.

Like everyone else in Capacit'e, the QA/QC team is driven

by the Passion to Excel and the team truly exemplifies the

philosophy of people driving systems driving people.
