INTEGRITY
Integrity Week
Indonesia Business Links (IBL), as a member of
Alliance for Integrity (AFIN), was actively involved in the
Integrity Week series, which held in April 17 – 20 April
2018. This Integrity Week raise the issue of regulatory
developments related to corporate crime and political
donation as a main topic in the business integrity forum.
On this occasion, IBL presented SOLUSI (Sarana Olah
Informasi dan Konsultasi Anti Korupsi) as one of the
online platform to prevent corruption in private sector.
This event not only attended by high level management of private sector, but also regulators
representatives national and international organizations that have been actively involved in promoting
business with integrity.
Explanation of SOLUSI in Integrity Week by IBL
CONGRATULATIONS on the joining of Mrs. Yanti Triwadiantini into the Board of
Management of IBL. She was previously the Executive Director of IBL for over 15 years.
In the last 2 years, she roles as Sustainability Adviser to IBL.
IBL believes that integrity is a fundamental principle that should be implemented on doing business to
create prosperity for all. Business Ethics or Integrity is one of main reason for the establishment of IBL.
Since the beginning, the organization has been doing many programs and activities to promote ethical
business practices, as well as anti-corruption/bribery, and provide assistance needed by private sector to
build the capacity on implementing them. IBL has been working with several like-minded organizations
such as KPK, CIPE, ASEAN CSR Network, GIZ, UK FCO, USAID Cegah, Kemitraan, Transparency
International Indonesia, ICW, and corporation such as Siemens, Chevron, ExxonMobil, ITM, BHP Billiton
and others as well as with business association such as KADIN, APINDO, Gakeslab, and others.
In 2014, IBL has launched Indonesia Integrity Initiative, a collective action among business stakeholders
on promoting and implementing business integrity.

IPMG One-on-One Meeting
On March 6, 2018, IBL held a meeting with IPMG
(International Pharmaceutical Manufacture Group),
placed at PT SANOFI Indonesia. This event attended by
20 representatives from IPMG„s Ethical Practices Sub-
Committee. Several issues that emerged in the health
industry is about Permenkes no. 14 of 2014 and no. 58 of
2016 related to sponsorship and the absence of rules
regarding the institution and association fee.
Regional Advocacy Committee Establishment
The Corruption Eradication Movement (KPK) through the PROFIT Movement (Profesional Berintegritas)
initiates the formation of Regional Advocacy Committee (KADs) in all provinces in Indonesia. 8 KADs
were formed in 2017, and followed by another 26 KADs in 2018. KADs Serves as a communication
forum that bridges between private sector and government in discussing the issue of strategic corruption
prevention in the private sector.
On March 6, 2018, IBL participated in the establishment of KADs in Banten Province, placed at the office
of Lebak District Government. IBL also followed the establishment of KADs in North Sumatera Province
which held on April 25, 2018.
Furthermore, IBL will also assists in the activation of KAD through the implementation of Anti-Corruption
Working Group (ACWG) in 6 Provinces, among others, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Banten, East
Java, South Sulawesi, and North Maluku.

CAPACITY
EMPOWER YOUTH for WORK
Training of Trainers (ToT) Soft Skill, Indramayu,
March 11, 2018
On March 11, 2018, Indonesia Business Links (IBL) organized
Training of Trainers (ToT) for soft skills training at Hotel Grand
Trisula, Indramayu. Training was attended by 14 people,
including representatives from BKK West Java, and facilitated
by two Master Trainers. This event was the second phase of
ToT, which previous ToT was held on September 2017
In this 3-days training, participants were educated about soft skills and its importance for character
building. Participants also taught how to simulate and present training materials on their own. The main
objective of this training is to ensure the sustainability of this program, and to teach every participant so
that they could present and educate others about soft skill, all by themselves.
Indonesia Business Links (IBL) with several organisations, such as Aliansi Desa
Sejahtera (ADS) and AKVO, are involving in Empower Youth for Work Progam
(EYW) in Indonesia. The project aims to reduce poverty in rural coastal areas that
are prone to the impact of climate change, by empowering youth (especially young
women) to secure viable employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
It is one of IBL missions to build the capacity of business stakeholders on doing ethical and
responsible business practices in Indonesia. Since the last 5 years ago, IBL has been focusing on
building the capacity of our youth since they will be our future leaders in business or other sectors.
Programs and activities have been developed to prepare and empower youth for work, as employees
(employability initiative) as well as business owners (entrepreneurship initiative).
IBL has been working with several organizations such as International Youth Foundation, Youth
Business International, ILO, Oxfam, Plan International and others and with corporation or corporate
foundation such as Citi Foundation, Caterpillar Foundation, Accenture, and others as well as with
government agencies such as BAPPENAS, Kemenaker, Kemendikbud, and several district and
municipal government.

Training of Trainers (ToT) Soft Skill, Makassar, March and April 2018
Indonesia Business Links (IBL), together with Alliance for Prosperous Village (Aliansi untuk Desa
Sejahtera / ADS), held another Training of Trainers (ToT) soft skills program on March and April 2018 at
Makassar. This training has divided into 3 batches, where batch 1 was held on March 26 – 29, batch 2
was held on March 30 – April 02, and batch 3 was held on 23 – 26 April.

Ms. Yunita Indrayani, Trainer and Teacher from
SMK Hasanudin Kandanghaur
ToT Soft Skill is a program with objectives to train and enhance the capacity of a trainer candidate. This
enhancement includes the understanding of soft skills and how important it is for daily activities,
especially for youth. Then, praticipants were given another understanding about soft skills materials and
how to deliver these materials to another youth. This ToT activity is a part of Youth Empowerment (YE)
Program by Indonesia Business Links (IBL).
Trainer Stories
Ms. Yunita Indriyani, a teacher from SMK Hasanudin
Kandanghaur, said that she applied every knowledge she
had as a trainer to her daily life, and managed to help one
of her student at school.
The student, named Tirman, had a difficulty to interact with
his classmates. This condition was driven by his eye
condition and his family‟s treatment in the past. Using
knowledge she had as a trainer, Ms. Yunita aimed to
boost Tirman self-confidence by using various methods,
such as pointed him as a group leader and told him to ask
a question during class.
By now, thanks to Ms. Yunita‟s effort, Tirman has become
much more active, friendly, and has a big confidence. He
aims to become a better person in the future.

SKILLED YOUTH
Business Mentoring, March 16, 2018
On March 16, 2018, IBL organized Business Mentoring, as a series of Skilled Youth (SY) Phase II
Program. This program let every mentor to share their experience in business and entrepreneurship to
their mentee. The mentors consist of IBL Associates and Skilled Youth Beneficiaries.
Participants were divided into 5 groups. Each of group was guided by one mentor. Each mentor
discussed about participant‟s business plans. All business plans were delivered before at
Entrepreneurship Training.
This mentoring was divided into 2 activities, group mentoring, and one-on-one mentoring. Group
mentoring was once-in-a-month, group gathering activities to discuss every Entrepreneurship Training
materials, and how each participant implemented it onto their business. While one-on-one mentoring was
an individual mentoring session between mentee and their mentors, and have more flexible time.

Citi Indonesia, through its initiative known as Citi Peka (Peduli dan Berkarya) which
covers a wide range of community activities, has been collaborating with Indonesia
Business Links (IBL), a non-profit organization which promotes the concept of good
corporate citizenship, in an effort to tackle unemployment in Indonesia through a
Skilled Youth program since June 2015. This Skilled Youth program is one that seeks
to develop and empower human resources of exceptional quality who are ready to
take the plunge into the work environment, either as an employees or entrepreneurs.

Business Model Canvas Presentation, April 7 2018
Skilled Youth Phase II organized group mentoring to discuss business
qualification of every participants using Business Model Canvas (BMC).
These events held twice, first on March 2, 2018, while others at April 7,
2018.
In these sessions, participants were reminded again about the concept of
BMC, and how to implement it to their own business models. Then each
participant would present their own BMC to their mentors.
Many participants were delighted and feel helped thanks to these
sessions, since most of them were running their business without knowing
what aspects that could affect their business‟s sustainability. By knowing
these aspects, each participants now understand how to focusing their
efforts to maintain their business.
Job Counseling, March 10th 2018
On March 10 2018, Skilled Youth Phase II organized Job
Counseling program in Karawang. This job counselling
was facilitated by Mr. Wartamanta, SE, M.Pd, as
headmaster of SMK Bina Karya 2 Karawang, and Ms.
Wardatussa‟diah, as Assistant Manager of PT. Toyodies.
This program, which was attended by 45 persons, aimed
to prepare the participants for jobs interview. There was 2
sessions held in this program. First session showed
participants about working culture in Industrial sector work,
while the second session taught the participants how to
create effective CV, and how to manage a job interview.

On April 21 2018, IBL, supported by Accenture, organized
Muda Terampil Berusaha (MTB) program, which aimed to
increase the awareness of entrepreneurship among
Indonesian Youth, especially in Karawang, and also
helping them to build and maintain their business.

STAKEHOLDER FORUM
Youth Empowerment with Stakeholder Forum
Jakarta - On April 25, 2018, IBL along with Citi Indonesia, organized a Stakeholder Forum. This event
gathered many stakeholders from different background, to discuss Indonesia‟s latest issue, and seek the
solution to each issue.
This forum mainly focused in Youth Unemployment issue, where the youth unemployment rate was
reaching 50% from total of unemployment in Indonesia. To tackle this issue, Stakeholder Forum gathered
several speakers from different stakeholder, such as from Government, Private Sector, Academia, and
Civil Society Organization
As a result from this event, it is needed for every stakeholder, from Government, Private Sector, Civil
Society Organization, and Academia, to collaborate and create synergistic partnership to create
sustainable policy related to capacity building, increasing jobs opportunities, encourage
entrepreneurships, and develop a sustainable environment for youth workforce.

ASIA PACIFIC BUSINESS FORUM 2018, 10 – 11 APRIL 2018
Business Innovations in Disaster Risk Reduction
Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction calls for the improvement and the incentives for private
disaster risk reduction investment as an underlying risk driver, and for the business to integrate business
risks into their management practises. Addressing underlying disaster risks factor through post-disaster
response and recovery.
ESCAP Regional Road Map for implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Asia and
the Pacific outlines the need to facilitate regional dialogue in integrating disaster risk reduction into related
development activities.
On this pillar, under the banner of IBL Sustainability Initiative eXchange (IBL SIX), the organization
provides learning forums for corporation and other business stakeholders to share ideas, best
practices and experiences on business sustainability issues such as water, waste management,
disaster risk reduction and others as well as to discuss hot topics such as Sustainable Development
Goals.
IBL has been working with several organizations and corporations, such as Unilever, Danone, and
others, which have similar understanding on sustainable business practices relevant to those
issues/topics.

On the event, Mr. heru Prasetyo, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Patrons Indonesia Business
Links became one of the panelist. On this session, with several panelists, He shared “How the private
sector innovates strategies and solutions to manage disaster risks in capital investments, supply chains
and operations?”.
PARTNERSHIP TRAINING
Partnership Training – Managing Effective Partnership for Sustainable
Development
IBL, in collaboration with Partnership-ID, held Partnership Training event, on April 24, 2018. Themed
“Managing Effective Partnership for Sustainable Development”, this event aimed to introduce the concept
of multi stakeholder partnership and brokering and how to create and maintain effective partnerships.
This event was attended from different backgrounds, such as private sector, government, and NGOs. The
training was delivered by Ms. Yanti Triwadiantini, Founder of Partnership-ID and Certified Partnership
Broker from Partnership Brokers Association (PBA). As a resource person on the training is Mr. Kemal
Soeriawidjaja, Co-Founder of Partnership-ID. He shared his experience related of challenging for building
multi-sector partnership.
On this event, participants were guided to understand more deeply about the principles of partnership,
introduced the concept of Partnership Broker, and to enhance their capacity and confidence to become a
partnership brokers.

On 28 April 2018, ACN's CEO, Mr Thomas Thomas was a panelist at the 15th ASEAN Leadership Forum
for a discussion on the ASEAN Community and the Sustainable Development Goals - Aligning
Sustainability at the Core of Integration.
The ASEAN Leadership Forum is a High Level
Annual Forum. The theme for this year's forum is
"Future Proof ASEAN: Strengthening Resilience,
Promoting Innovation & Moving Forward the Digital
Space" and is jointly organised by Asian Strategy &
Leadership Institute (ASLI), S. Rajaratnam School
of International Studies (RSIS), Social Innovation

Third Integrity Week Indonesia – “Benefits From Integrity – Business Take
Action”
From 17 to 20 April 2018, the Alliance for Integrity
organised the Third Integrity Week in Jakarta,
Indonesia. This year‟s Integrity Week was held
under the theme "Benefits from Integrity –
Businesses Take Action". The events brought
together business leaders and other relevant
stakeholders from the private sector, civil society,
public sector, government and academia to develop
practical solutions and share knowledge and good
practice on compliance and business integrity.
Three major events were organised throughout the
week. The Business Integrity Forum with a high-
level panel discussion on “Recent Regulatory
Developments and anti-corruption measures for the
private sector in Indonesia” on 17 April 2018.
