Ryan Blomquist, BSATroop #277, completed his Eagle Scoutproject by building 4benches for theWillow Pointe community.TwowereplacedintheplayareaatWillowCrossingDriveandN.LaurelBranchandtwowereplacedintheplaygroundareanexttothepool. Attached are some pictures of Ryan and his team building thebenchesashisDad,DonBlomquist,andUnitLeader,GregLuebstoodbyforguidance.Ryanwasinchargeofplanningtheproject,evaluatingthenumberandsizeofbuildingmaterialsneeded,andleadingandinstructinghisteamthroughouttheproject.IttooktwofulldaysforRyanandhisteamtobuildallfourofthebenchesandonedaytosetthemintheirdesignatedareas. OnbehalfofallthehomeownersintheWillowPointecommunity,wewouldliketosendbigthanksandappreciationtoRyan,histeamandunitleaderforasuccessfulprojectwecanallenjoy.

Judith informed the Board ofDirectorsthatSherwinWilliamswasintheprocessofprintingtheACCGuidelinesheetwithcolorsamples.SherwinWilliamsalsosupplieddiscountcoupontotheWillowPointeresidentsthatselecttopurchasetheirpaintfromSherwinWilliams. Newsletter Committee–Judithsuggestedthesubdivisionsponsoraholidaydecoratingcontest.Anarticleinformingthehomeownersofthecontestwillbeincludedinthenexteditionofthenewsletter. The Board of Directors discussed the CrimeAlert Response.Steven informed the Board that the Willow Ponte owners thatexpressedandinterestinbeingapartoftheCrimeAlertEmailListshould have received confirmation that they have been added to the list. Any owner that did not receive a confirmation email should re-submittheirinformation. Web Report – Steven Lewis notified the Board of Directors that theagendaandtheminuteswillbepostedonthewebsite. Courtesy Patrol & Crime Watch–NoahHerrerareviewedthecrime report. He notified the Board of Directors of the recent break-insinthesubdivision. Landscaping Committee – The Board discussed the falldecorationsattheJonesRoadEntrance.SteveninformedtheBoardthat the landscape committee spent $302.55 for the decorations.Steven notified the Board of Directors that the committee bought the falldecorationswithoutBoardapproval.Afteralengthilydiscussion,amotionwasmadebySteveLewis,secondedbyGregDecker,andit was unanimously decided to reimburse the committee for theexpenses. The Board of Directors discussed setting a budget for futuredecorating projects sponsored by the landscape committee. AmotionwasmadebyStevenLewis,secondedbyNoahHerrera,anditwasunanimouslydecidedtosetabudgetof$150fordecoratingprojects. The Board approved two quotes (#1698 ڣ) for irrigationrepairstotaling$745.14. The Board approved the cost of the fall/winter fertilizer for thecommonareas. TheBoardapproved“upto$500”forHolidaydecorations.ThisamountwillcomeoutoftheLandscapebudget. TheBoardapprovedthree“giftcards”intheamountof$75,$50,and$25fortheannualHolidayDecoratingcontest. TheBoardapprovedfunding($154.62)forrepaintingthelettersatbothentrances.ThisamountwillcomeoutoftheLandscapebudget.HomeownerPaulMorganhasundertakenthistask. The Board is awaiting the final quote for repair/replacement of the entrancelightsatJonesandRound-Up. Greg Decker will verify that a room has been reserved for aNovemberTownHallmeeting.IfareservationisinplaceandifwecanputanoticeoftheTownHallmeetinginthesamemailingasthe2008AssessmentNotice,wewillholdthemeeting.
