I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgivingand is looking forward to Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, we will be doing THE GIVING TREE againthis year. So please take a name and make someone’sChristmas a little better. In addition, remember to join us for the ELK’SCHRISTMAS PARTY on Thu13DEC. Bring your familyand/or a friend you think will make a good ELK. Themain meal will be provided by LODGE1626. We willconduct a FAVORITE DESSERT contest. So make yourfavorite dessert and enter it. (See FLYER) I want to thank everyone that helped out in Nov-ember. BEAU DRAKE did a great cleaning job on thekitchen, help with the POLICE/FIREFIGHTER night, andTENDERLOIN night. THANK YOU, LEDAH/CORY PAYSEN,KARLA KELLY, and MARC CLAYTON for help on POLICE/FIREFIGHTER and TENDERLOIN NIGHT(S). Of course,THANKS ALWAYS to the BURGER NIGHT CREW for theawesome job, well done. We raised approximately $500 for PUPPY JAKE onTENDERLOIN NIGHT. THANKS to all those who cameout for this fundraiser. We only had one (1) guest for POLICE/FIREFIGHTERNIGHT. THANKS to the many LODGE1626 MEMBERSwho attended. Several members have brought food for the IaSTATEgames. THANK YOU ALL. If I forgot anyone, pleaseforgive me and rest assured I really appreciate the support.
We will be taking the VETS from the IOWA VETERANSHOME to the IaSTATE WOMENS basketball game,SUN09DEC 12:00p. (SEE FLYER) I have several membersscheduled to go, but if you would like to join us, pleaselet me know. We will have the SILVER STREAK BOWLING league(starting JAN). The league will last for six (6) weeks, onFRI nights. You will bowl three (3) games/week. If youcan not make FRI’s, bowl three (3) games and have scores veri�ed. Well, I’ll keep it short this month, but want to remindyou, it’s all about MEMBERSHIP this year. Every yearour ranks become a bit smaller. We need new and active members so we may continue to serve ourVETERANS, CHILDREN, and COMMUNITY, as well as provide a vibrant LODGE1626 for years to come. Remember if you have any thoughts and/orsuggestions regarding activities, improvements,membership, or anything else, let the o�cers or meknow. It is you that makes the di�erence.
