Independence Day Celebration

August 2018
The institute celebrated 72nd
Independence Day of
India in the college auditorium. The programmed
started with National Anthem.Followed by students
participation in the cultural programs like reciting of
patriotic poems, singings of patriotic songs, dances and
many more such activities. The program also included
a speech to show the importance of freedom and of our
freedom fighters like Shaheed Bhagat Singh,
Chandershaker Azad, and many others.
ORGAN DONATION CAMPAIGN
17th
August, 2018
An Organ Donation Campaign was organized by the
IVS on 17th
August , 2018. Apart from academics our
students are extending their services in community
work. This programme was successfully organized by
the students of IVS with the collaboration of “Venu
Eye Hospital”. A Nukkad Natak was performed by the
students in Chirag Delhi for imparting the information
about organ donation among the people and certificate
was given.
Teacher’s Day Celebration

September 2018
Teacher’s Day was celebrated on 5th
September 2018
in our college. In this programme all the teachers and
Principal of institute were cordially invited. Students
started this programmed with Quranic Verses and
Ganesh Vandana. After that great number of
performances like Group Dance, Solo Dance, Poem
recitation, Singing, etc were performed by IVS
students.
JUL-AUG ‘2018
Board Decoration
In institute of vocational studies D.El.Ed and B.Ed students decorate the board
twice a month with their house members. It is according to theme like festivals,
National and International days etc.
There are 4 houses and every house decorates its allotted board as per turn.

Educational Trip to Humayun’s Tomb & National
Science Museum

September, 2018
Institute of Vocational Studies organized the trip to
Humayun’s Tomb & National Science Museum for IVS
students. This trip to historical as well as scientific
importance for the students. The Humayun’s Tomb is the
tomb of the mughal emperor Humayun in Delhi, India. It was
the garden – tomb on the Indian subcontinent. The tomb was
declared a UNESCO world heritage site. The purpose of this
visit is to enhance the historical knowledge of students and
develops scientific attitude among students and how these
can be used as a learning resource in teaching and learning
process.
National Seminar
13th
& 14th
September 2018
Institute of Vocational Studies organized a two day national
seminar on the theme “New NPE 2016 (draft) - A Reflection
on Focus, Issues and Challenges. Many students from
different Universities in Delhi and outside Delhi has
presented their papers in the seminar. The sessions were
chaired by Prof. Ilyas Hussain (JMI), Prof. Jasim Ahmed
(JMI), Dr. Nahar Singh (SCERT), Prof. Shoeb Abdullah
(JMI), Prof. Saroj Sharma (GGSIPU), Dr. Niranjana
Soperna (Principal, IVS). Prof. Mohd. Miyan (former Vice
Chancellor, MANUU) graced the valedictory session and
addressed the guests and encouraged on conducting more
research to bring an improvement in the education system.
Campaign
Swacch Bharat Abhiyan (Swacchata Pakhwada) 03rd
October 2018
IVS has also organized a Campaign on Swach Bharat Abhiyan. The Swach Bharat campaign was started from the campus with the banner & posters carried by
the students and then they have also performed nukkad natak on the same theme. The purpose of Swach Bharat Abhiyan was to spread awareness among the
residents of nearby areas like Madangir, Dakshinpuri etc; to keep hygiene &cleanliness around them and to make the city a clean city.
Surgical Strike Day Celebration

The students from Institute of Vocational Studies has
volunteered as NSS volunteers in the Surgical Strike Day
Celebration as Parakram Parv at India Gate on 28th
& 29th
September, 2018. There work was appreciated by Ministry of
Youth Sports and Affairs.
Fresher’s Party
(29th September, 2018)
Institute of Vocational Studies organized fresher’s party for
1st year students on 29th September, 2018. This was a great
way of interaction with new students. This was divided into
three parts, first introduction round, second: few game
rounds and last round is talent hunt. The competition was
judged by the jury members. Finally the results were
announced and IVS got Ms. Fresher and Mr. Fresher for the
year 2018. It was a great experience for all the students.

Student Seminar
31st October, 2018
Institute of Vocational Studies organized one day student
seminar on 31st October, 2018 on the theme “Teaching for
21st Century”. Papers were invited from students of B.Ed.,
M.Ed and MA (Education) from various universities,
institutions and education departments. The participants have
participated from all over the World (i.e. India, Afghanistan
& Iran)
Cracker Free Diwali Campaign
05th
November 2018
Cracker free Diwali campaign was organized by the students
of Institute of Vocational Studies. The campaign was
organized in the MCD and SKV schools that were allotted
for teaching practice. Students of IVS selected 20-25
students from 1st to 5
th class and 20 students selected from 6
th
to 8th
class, and organized poster making competition
between selected students and the theme was ‘Crackers Free
Diwali’. The posters judged in according to theme, colour
selection, creativity etc. They selected 3 students to give
them 1st, 2
nd and 3
rd position. Our college gave them
certificate.
Constitution Day 26th
November, 2018
Indian Constitution Day was celebrated by the students on
26th
November, 2018. It was an awareness programme held
regarding the constitution of India among the students of
ACE. The programmes started with the introduction of
Constitution of India and the Preamble. After that many
events such a debate, poem recitation, essay writing and a
mock parliament was held. All over the event was successful
and it was a great experience for the students and teachers.
GGSIPU Sponsored Interdisciplinary Conference on
“Education for Equity, Diversity & Inclusive Excellence”
on 06th & 07th December, 2018
The best form of human empowerment is education and with
this vision, Institute of Vocational Studies organized an
Interdisciplinary Conference on “Education for Equity,
diversity and Inclusive Excellence”. First day i.e. on 6th
December, the conference commenced with the much
enlightening keynote address presented by guest of honour
Prof. Mohd. Akhtar Siddiqui, former chairperson, NCTE.
He highlighted the importance of education as it is now our
fundamental right. The second day of the conference began
with the introduction and felicitation of the resource person
Dr. Gaurav Singh, SOE, IGNOU the sub themes covered in
the conference included Integration of ICT, Development of
life skills, Trends in higher education in India. In the
valedictory session the chief guest Dr. Sangeeta Chauhan,
Dean, SOE,GGSIPU and Dr. Nahar Singh, Joint Director,
SCERT were welcomed by the Principal, IVS Dr. Niranjana
Soperna. This conference gave us the insight into the theme
of equity diversity and inclusive excellence.
