cause this is one of the best

experience in the life of an AIE-

SECer. So I encourage all those

who want to apply as OC or

OCP for upcoming conferences

not hesitate. Always aim higher

in AIESEC and always believe

in yourself in whatever you

plan to do in life.

The Level Up Conference 2013

was the first major event of

AIESEC Mauritius in 2013.

The conference was held from

the 16th to 19th January 2013

in Pointe Jerome Youth Center.

It marks lots of first times and a

new era. For the first time, the

LC AIESEC UTM*CTI had the

duty of hosting this event. For

the first time the OCP of a con-

ference (ndlr: Joel Cleopatre)

was from AIESEC UTM*CTI.

Adding to that, the MCP elec-

tion was to be held during the

second day of the conference as

well as the Gala Award Night

2013 to be held on the 17th

evening. The MCP elections

was held on the 17th from

09:30 to 17:00 and the MC of

AIESEC Mauritius has got its

new team for the term 2013-

2014. For the first time, there

will be a member of AIESEC

UTM*CTI in the MC of AIE-

SEC Mauritius. For the first

time the MCP will be a boy.

action they did during these 5

days. They invested themselves

so much that I could not be-

lieved what I was seeing. All

the days were not shine and

bright but still we kept the

heads up and the team got my

back and I got theirs. If I had to

do it all over again, I will be-

To organize a conference is

never an easy thing to do. This

conference was made with the

heart. You have to choose the

team you will be working with

and ensure its cohesion . THE

TEASERS put their soul in it

and it could be seen each and

every day and each and every

it .” For the first time all

members enjoyed the confer-

ence as never before. “The

team did a wonderful job. The

way they pilled off the confer-

ence was awesome. The ser-

vice we received and the way

each one of you cared about

everyone was too good to be

true.” Veejaya Gungaram VP

TM from UOM. No wonder

the OC made wrote their

name in the History of AIE-

SEC Mauritius being called

the ‘Best Conference ever

made’, ‘Best OC ever’. The

OC met again during the

Global Village of the 26th

January, a get together to talk

about the good times.

Note that next conference will

happen on the 15-17 March.

Yogesh Ramdhonee was cho-

sen to be OC delegate servicing

and External Relations. As a

new member, he has not hesi-

tate once before applying. “It

was an amazing, enriching,

relation-making and learning

experience for me that allow

me to discover my potential”

Not only has he been working

in the OC for the conference

but has won the Star member

award during the Gala Award

night of the conference. “ I

feel honored to have received

this award. My devotion and

my motivation to bring AIE-

SEC forward have been ap-

preciated by my piers. Earn-

ing this award is only a step

in my AIESEC journey as I

believe in this path there are

a lot more to achieve.”

Noor Hansye was OC on site.

“I improved my communica-

tion skills. It was a really

good experience for me. I met

new friends, and earned new

responsibilities during this

event. “

They have been through lots

of challenges every day. They

had to push their own limits

to meet the requirements and

standards of an international

conference. And one fact that

is undeniable is that they met

these standards and exceeded

them. Both will now be OCP

in June and July, Green Revo-

lution for Yogesh and Lead

Green for Noor.

Nafisah Joolfun from UOM

who is an AIESECER since

16 months now said that be-

ing part of this OC was her

second best experience. It

helped her to improve herself

on a personal level. “It was

such a great adventure that

even words will not be enough

to describe it and I would

wish everyone to experience

this. I enjoyed every second of

OC stories

Remember these names, Jennifer Macaque, Yogesh Ramdhonee, Val-

erie Consens, Neereshen, Kathan Darlene Theodore and Noor Han-

sye. They are the new appointed OCPs for the new upcoming pro-

jects. It has not been an easy decision to make but the EB believes in

them and hope they will make the most of it. AIESEC UTM*CTI

wants to mark this announcement because three of them are new

members but they have learnt and grown rapidly in their AIESEC life.

Yashfhir Seesurrun expresses his feeling as LCVP ICX about these

nominations: “They will all benefit from this experience as individu-

als during their OCPs term. I sincerely hope that the new generation

will make new projects with innovative ideas that will contribute to

the development our members and our LC.”

The first two projects which will kick start are Green Revolution and

Microsoft IT4 all Lead Green, NGO Empowerment and Know About

Cancer in June and July and CLND in July and August.

Recruitment is an important part of the LC. It is

the moment where we choose our new mem-

bers, the next generation, the young persons

who will one day bring the LC higher than

where it is right now. You all remember how

you were recruited or who did your interview.

The OCP of recruitment for March 2013 is

Shelly and the number of people who will be

recruited will be 50. “ I want to achieve this

target in this recruitment and raise the aware-

ness concerning recruitment and participating

in recruitment, as it is the legacy of their hard

work and the future of our LC ”

Interviews are going to take place in Helvettia

Youth Centre as from the 18th February. So be

on time people/
