Dear Reader(s)

Make life a celebration

This quarter was filled with a lot of

exuberance ,festivities and events.

Now if I have to focus on the word fes-

tival it means another holiday, eat a lot

or watch television at home. However

such celebration earlier bonded fami-

lies together. They taught us moral val-

ues, dedication and seriousness. So in

this context I urge everyone to be in-

volved in their approach and avoid lax-

ity of any kind. The secret of life is to

see everything with a non-serious eye ,

but absolutely be involved—like a

game, stay head strong, face chal-

lenges for a bright future!

All in all, the past 70 years have been momen-

tous. Despite serious challenges on varied fronts, in-

cluding several attacks on the territorial integrity of

India, we have been able to keep the flame of democ-

racy burning bright. And, today, India is looked

upon as the largest and most vibrant democracy in

the world. In recent years India has been well known

the world over for its achievements in several fields,

particularly in the arena of Information Technology.

The greatest achievement of this country is that in

spite of its vast diversity and a population of 1/6 of en-

tire humanity, the country has continued to remain

intact and strong even after over six decades of inde-

pendence. India has always had a vision and a mes-

sage for the world. From the very beginning of our

civilization we have believed that the world is one and

humanity is a single family. India is committed to es-

tablish ties of friendship and co-operation with all

countries. India's engagement with the world is inten-

sifying both in the economic and political fields. India

is a country that has, and is, contributing to regional

and global peace and stability. India will continue to

work with the international community to create a

better world - a world free of terror, poverty, disease,

ignorance and inequality.
