Represented their understanding through a ranking ladder graphic organis- er to list the factors from lowest to the highest priority. Session with the guest speaker Dr. Deepak Ahuja (paediatrician and neonatolo- gist) To further understand the changes during adolescence. Different ways to cope up with the challenges faced during this period of growing up. Tuned into the concept of self-concept through an activity and reflected on building a positive self-esteem.

Introduced ‘Haiku’ (a Japanese form of Poetry) through a presentation

and reflected on the key points to be included in Haiku.

Children created ‘Haiku’ on a topic of their choice, amidst nature, along

with illustrations .

Class wrote couplets and limericks according to their individual ideas.

Brainstormed and collated the essential elements of writing a Picture

Composition after viewing a presentation.

Practiced writing a picture composition.

Gave a closure to Narrative Writing by working on the second draft.

Read chapters from the reader followed by making connections with

personal life and any incident from the chapters

Students were introduced to the musical instruments ‘Harmonium’ and

the ‘Dholak’.

They explored traditional and non-traditional musical instruments.

They further delved into how Harmonium gained popularity in India.

Students practiced making a drawing composition by adding sketches of

two human figures in action and movements such as jumping, walking,

dancing, and running.

They added details and colors to complete their sketches.

Students were also introduced to the concept of “human body propor-

tions”.

They were given a demonstration on sketching an average human figure.
