It is being held at a new venue and a different weekend from previous years be- cause of the bridge construction in Sutter Creek.. Each artist and more have donated an original piece of art for the raffle that is our main fundraiser for the Student Scholarship given out each year. The scholarship is awarded to a local high school student continuing to pursue art in college. Last year we were able to award two scholarships because of the success of the raffle, so please come out and purchase tickets while viewing all of the wonderful art from our participants. There will be food available to purchase that funds a summer camp at Faith Lutheran Church. Some artists will have ongoing demonstrations during the weekend as well. Lots of parking and easy access, so plan to come by and spend some time with us! Sandra Wagner will Demonstrate at Sept. Meeting Sandra is a fiber artist, a fabric hand dyer, surface designer, and designs wearable art... Fabric has been in her life as long as she can remember starting with doll clothes. She is a past quilt shop owner and now teaches workshops in fabric art, one of a kind garment and fabric dyeing. She has taught private classes, at guilds and Houston International Quilt Festival. She has shown nationally and internationally, in galleries, and has pieces in private col- lections throughout the United States. She is a member of Studio Arts Quilt Associa- tion, STASH Art Group, Art Focus Quilt Group, Sierra Gold Quilters Guild, Sutter Creek Gallery, Mendocino Art Center, Amador Arts Council, Amador County Artist Association, and International Quilt Association. The demo will start after the business meeting on September 12.

American Legion Hall

20 artists will be gathered at the American Legion Hall on Highway 49 September 8th and 9th for the annual

Open Studios Art Show. It is being held at a new venue and a different weekend from previous years be-

Annual Open Show

An international juried art exhibit showing original art, sculpture, photography,

painting, all mediums. Cash and merchandise awards! Judge is Steve Memering.

Crocker Kingsley Exhibition

For California artists

The Crocker-Kingsley Exhibition was first juried in 1940, a tradition that con-

tinues to the present day. 2018 marks the 78th show and will be exhibited at

Blue Line Arts. . Works will be juried and the winners will receive cash awards

of $250, $500, $750, $1000 and $2000. Crocker Art Museum staff will then

select five pieces from the show, which may or may not be award winners, for

display at the museum following the exhibit at Blue Line Arts from March 3rd

through May 5th, 2019.
