Presentation Evening – Dudley Park Requirements

appointed principal of West Leeming for the start of 2019, last year was my first experience at this school and I remember the evening to be a wonderful community event. Included in this newsletter is some further information about the logistics for the Presentation Evening, including City of Melville requirements for the use of Dudley Park. I ask all families to be aware of these requirements so that the school is able to request the use of this venue in future years.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the West Leeming community for your support of my leadership throughout the year. As many of you would be aware, taking on a new role can be both challenging and daunting, and I thank the many people who have guided my decision-making throughout the year. Thank you to Ben Ash, School Council Chair for his advice and astute counsel and also to the West Leeming School Council for their guidance in the strategic directions of this school. The P&C have also been a wonderful source of assistance and I would also like to express my appreciation to the President Rachel Atkinson, the P&C Executive and the many parents who have worked hard to ensure our children reap the benefits that the P&C provides for our community. In conclusion, my grateful thanks to the wonderful West Leeming staff for their dedication and professionalism. As a school leader, the commitment to ongoing school improvement of the administration team, teachers, education assistants and support staff makes my job very rewarding.

I wish everyone a safe and happy festive season and look forward to seeing many of you during this last week of term and throughout 2020.

The activities were designed to help boys to discover, explore, and create by problem solving, and using techniques in creative and critical thinking. The aim was to introduce the students to new areas of interest and potential future career ideas.
