Dear Parents

As part of the PE curriculum the whole school will be swimming in the Autumn Term starting on Thursday 12th September. We will be going for 12 weeks, leaving school at 1.15pm and returning at 3.40. Please note the late return time. The last lesson will be on Thursday 5th December 2019.

The children will need:

* one piece swimming costume/trunks (not Bermuda style shorts)

* towel

* swimming hat (named)

* a waterproof bag

* armbands (if needed)

If your child needs to swim with armbands they should be sent with their swimming kit, inflated and ready to use to avoid wasting swimming time. Bircham will not provide any armbands.

Children may wear track suits to school or school sweatshirts and track suit bottoms on a Friday. Please name all items of clothing including underwear and shoes!

Jewellery should not be worn and stud earrings must be removed.

Permission is covered under the local visits permission as sent out recently.

Please let Mrs Smith know if you are able to help with swimming.
